Good morning, all!
Last errand day here before I fly. Yipes!
TOD:
London, Scotland and the Irish countryside.
After all of my worldly travels, though our ship often docked in Dover, I could never go into London because it was a quick turnaround day for the crew. I'd love to go for a few weeks, take in the feel of the place, and see tons of theater.
Irish countryside (and Dublin, Galway and Antrim) - it's the culture I was brought up in with my mother being a Gilligan, and no doubt the side that gave me my singing genes. I've been to Cork and Blarney (yes, kissed the stone), but again, all too swiftly. And I grew up seeing photos of the Countryside. I need to go there... and sing in a pub with the locals.
Scotland - when I met Billy Connelly (who is Scottish and Irish), and we talked about travels, he asked if I'd been to Scotland. I said, "No, only Ireland". He said, "Oh, you have to go to Scotland. Scotland look like Ireland thinks it looks."
