Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

TOD

Speaking of Gershwin:  Earl Wild and Eugene List for their recordings of the Concerto, Rhapsody, etc. (I don't believe I've ever heard the Entremont.)  And of course ol' George himself.  And Oscar Levant!

Glenn Gould.  I treasure my complete set of the laserdiscs collection.

Rudolf Serkin
Emmanuel Ax

Andre Previn
Oscar Peterson

I'm surely forgetting a few choice ones.

We're now at intermission.  It's a good crowd with very involved kids watching in the front row.  One very young kid had to be taken out by her dad.  She was very scared.  It was so cute, though. :)

DR Elmore, Orfhlaith's wedding gown is beautiful.  When we see you in a few weeks, you'll have to tell me how to pronounce her name.

Ditto on the first comment, lol on the second.

I like the meaning of her name.

ÓRFHLAITH
GENDER: Feminine
USAGE: Irish
PRONOUNCED: OR-la   [key]
Meaning & History
Means "golden princess" from Irish ór "gold" combined with flaith "princess". This was the name of a sister of the Irish king Brian Boru.

Like DR Vixmom, we call it "take-out" here. I was just curious if "carry out" was a common term or only used in certain parts of the US.

I've also used "take-out".  Moving around the country so many times sometimes I don't remember what term I use.

Enjoy!  The second act of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" has just started.  It's only about a half hour, then we have food brought in, because we have two shows today.

And finally! A photo of the bride and groom.

And I am pondering dinner options after BURN WITCH BURN; I believe I missed something at the end.

I'm feeling a bit better today, but still sore.  I have many chores that have to be done and have a brief to write, so I'm staying home and gave away my ticket to the symphony

I'm getting my chores done, laundry, grocery, vet to get food for the cats, etc.   I'm doing it a lot slower than usual and taking breaks to relax, use the heat pad etc.

I also have a pork roast in the oven.  I decided to try cooking it with apples and onions for flavor  I may also make some apple sauce to eat with it and will probably do home made mashed potatoes.  The roast will last me for a few days

First show is done!  They're feeding us, so that's nice...although, I have no idea what's been brought.
