Chicken pot pie from Harriet's Kitchen! Not as good as the Brooklyn Diner's but almost as good.

And the bad news? The elevator is out  of order.

Our super, who's really wonderful, knows there are two gimps on three. I'm hoping that by the time i get home from a City Center meeting at 11am, that it's fixed.

Jed posted this on Facebook, and I thought it was pretty cool.  It is a perfect send-up of all the evil villioness's from Disney
It is called the SPELL BLOCK TANGO based on the number from CHICAGO.

Sherpa? Maybe you could charge it to the landlord.

Seriously, I hope it's fixed soon.

DR Michael Shayne, IMDB, not the greatest source of info, has it  backwards: Rae Allen was replaced by Evelyn Page in ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER.

Well, I'm off to usher for Rufus Wainwright!  I'm sure that it'll be a great show!

Be back later!

Good morning. The other day my DH came home from the grocery store with a frozen turkey. We didn't have room for it in the freezer, so it is roasting in the oven. My house smells so good.

YUM!!!   I need to get a turkey and have it cut in half lengthwise.  Then I can roast 1/2 at a time.  I love the smell of turkey

I'm drawn to novels, films & personal stories during WWII.  I've read numerous books of or about Jews in Eastern Europe during that time.  "Foyle's War" which began during the war is my all time favorite series.

Have you seen the new series? I'm due to get it in a few weeks from the library.
