If I knew this, I'd forgotten it until an email from The University of Michigan Alumni Association reminded me:  Margo Martindale was a year behind me there and I saw her in at least 2 musicals - FUNNY GIRL as Mrs. Brice (1972) and WEST SIDE STORY as Bessie Shawn (1973).  I think her current series on CBS is a tremendous waste of her talent.  Here's the article:

Margo Martindale

I loved her on the show A GIFTED MAN.

I haven't seen her on THE MILLERS. But starring in your own comedy can't be that bad a thing.

I am home from physical therapy. It was packed today and things went rather slowly.

I do enjoy Margo Martindale but as Ginny said, what a waste. I guess you do jobs when you need the money or the work but god, what an awful show she's in (and Beau Bridges also). I've tried to watch an entire episode but for me, it's an impossible mission. The writing is embarrassing and the plots give a new definition to the word "stupid" It's sad (and hard to believe) that the great James Burrows is part of this mess.

I also feel the same about Mom. Alison Janney, OMG!!!

I guess many look at the example of "Everybody Loves Raymond".  They think: "Oh, Krishna!  What if the mom is another Marie Barone?"

Here's another quickie.

It seems to be working for me, just taking a little longer to go from page to page than I would expect.  This post actually showed up quite quickly.

I don't think that the "auto detect" option has anything to do with the time stamp problem.

Those are the directions I saved from way back when.......It seems to do the trick even if I am doing an extra step.

Funny, because while I don't think MOM is great it is the only new sitcom I can tolerate to watch anymore.  I get the feeling Alison Janney is having a darn good time with her character.

In show biz, unless you are a MAJOR star or are independently wealthy, work is work.  You go where the jobs are.

And, you never know if your current job will be your last.

And they can be proud of their performances.  It is the scripts that are the problem.

It would be better with good scripts.  Her character on Gifted Man was more likable.

No, but up until now using the quote has been difficult.  I will know in a second if I can then click at the top to return to where I was.  Last time I finally clicked on the page number.
