Would you believe that our microwave blew today?

Two days before Thanksgiving.

 :'(

To bad you live so far away.  When I moved into my current place, I had a countertop microwave oven, but my place had an existing one above the range/oven.  I've had it in my garage since (more than seven years, now).  Last year, my theater group was having a group yard sale and someone donated a small microwave oven.  It didn't sell, so I kept it (and a few other things) for the next yard sale...which hasn't happened, yet.  So now I have three, count 'em, THREE microwave ovens and two are just sitting there in my garage not being used. :-\

This is funny.

I thought I would post this for any of you who read J. A. Jance, and especially for Jane who loves Bernese Mountain Dogs.  Ms Jance's new book is called SECOND WATCH.  It is not only a Beaumont mystery, but it is also the story of Doug Davis who was killed in Viet Nam, and the girl that loved and lost him.  That girl is my cousin, Bonnie, and the story involves her and her Bernese, Crackerjack.

http://jajance.com/Blog/tag/second-watch/

I don't normally read her but I will put this on my wish list.  Unfortunately my library doesn't have it.  They have a good number of her books so maybe it will down the road.

Is this a fictionalized account of your cousin Bonnie?

I think my mom just started reading this author.

Well, something nice happened: my doorbell rang and it was the postman who did not leave the package earlier. He found he had missed something on my block and figured he would see if I was home as well.  I thanked him profusely. Isuspect he decided I was raving mad as he ran for the elevator.

Yeah! :)

I am looking forward to tonight's finale of DANCING WITH THE STARS. I would be okay with any of the F3 winning. But I really want Derek and Amber.

I wish I had waited for DR George to capture the photo.  Pausing took multiple attempts.  For some reason it either didn't pause or jumped to the beginning of the video.

I know.  YouTube does not have great freeze-frame control. :P

Quite a few years ago, she was the keynote speaker at my library's All Staff Day.  She was a very good and even though I haven't read any of her books, I thoroughly enjoyed her speech.

Be back later!

Long work day and little accomplished writing-wise. But I'm exhausted.

So, good night, all.
