Jason Graae just sent the ROBERTA cast a really funny email. He's lucky he got our of Dublin alive.

When I heard Ashford was directing, I thought, this could either be good or as bad as watching a major train wreck, but either way, it's going to be fascinating and a must-see!

Except I'm going to a pig roast that night and will have to miss it.

Stand by, perhaps George will be taking orders!

I will at least be watching it.  The DVD is available for pre-order.

From DR Jennifer:
Quote
Why can't you get it from your computer?  It would make sense that you could do it either on your nook or computer (the same way you can buy an e-book)

My original Nook downloaded all the library books from my computer and this one only from my Nook.  I was puzzled by that as well when I first got it.  I prefer the way it is so I can get my books if I'm not home.

When you buy books from B&N do you have the same issue?  I would really not like it if i couldn't buy the e-books from my computer.

When you say you can only download the e-books from your NOOK do you mean that you can only select them on your NOOK. Not sure i'm understanding.
I buy ebooks from BN on both my computer and my Nook.  If I buy them on the computer they are on my nook when I turn it on

Came home to discover that UPS left my new 40-inch TV on the front door step. I guess I didn't have to sign for it. But they can't leave a box of alcohol without my signing for it. Go figure.

And now, I'm off to my sister's for some shopping.  She doesn't like to go shopping by herself so this time I have to go.

Be back later!

I ordered some toner for the office copier. In special instructions I wrote: IF NO ONE IN OFFICE, PLEASE LEAVE IN SUITE 1003A. UPS did not deliver it today. No one was in our office. So, why thefay hell did they ask for special instructions?

I have begun decking our hall living room, dining room, kitchen, and family room.  Can't do more until I have some daylight, which means Wednesday.  I'll be in Dayton much of tomorrow lunching with the grantwriters.

I went a little crazy on Cyber Monday.  I started buying Bali insulated cellular shades for my house about 5 or 6 years ago. I have lots and lots of windows so over two years I covered maybe 1/2 of the windows.  Well today they were on sale for 50% and I could get 6 months same as cash and free delivery, so I bought all the rest.  It's a lot more than I wanted to spend, but they really do help keep the house warmer and I've been here for 7 years now.  Time to finish the window covering. I can't wait until they get here

That is because your wifi is better than mine. :)

If I buy a book using my computer it might be there when I turn on my Nook or it might take a very long time to arrive.

Exactly!  I was only going to get some of them but I realized that it would just cost me more money to wait. Luckily I know how to install them, so that won't cost more.   They'll be delivered to the office in 3 weeks. This gives me a new incentive to finish the room upstairs....still need to scrub and paint two walls and the wood work. It's my Christmas present to me.....well another Christmas present to me.....

But right now I need to get out the flute and do some practicing.   I had planned to do a lot of it over the break and didn't pick up the flute once   So much for Boo's quiet night on mom's lap, lol

If it makes you feel any better, DR Elmore, I found my 30-minute basement walk more taxing than usual today, too.  Hadn't exercised myself in more than a week.

If I went that long without walking or excising I would be extremely grumpy.  Of course I didn't have to work over Thanksgiving either.

I figured my 2 solid days of housecleaning counted as exercise, but they were followed by 4 days of mostly sitting around and eating a lot of the wrong things.

sounds like how I spent the last four years

I am looking forward to the Sondheim documentary since I have [free] HBO now.

I just watched the MAKING OF THE SOUND OF MUSIC....and I beginning to feel the way DR JANE wrote last week.....seeing the kids in their auditions and sort of watching the process is making me more excited about the show.

.....I just hope they are really doing the musical script and not making a lot of fake build ups to commercials......

The article in TV Guide, or was it Entertainment Weekly; said they were not interested in remaking the movie, but wanted to present the original Broadway version on film.

P. S.:  I have no financial or artistic control over this production, so don't blame me if they screw it up!

I am holding you personally and entirely responsible for the whole thing... if I don't like it I will be filing a paypal dispute!

Apple just told me that the ipad was the most wished for gift this Christmas.  That must come as a surprise to all those who wished for world peas.

I thought that was supposed to be whirled peas.

DR Jennifer while reading the 2nd Nadia Stafford book I was thinking you might like the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.  Have you read ONE FOR THE MONEY?

No (my mom has read them all). But I did see the movie. :)

I gather they are performing the stage text with the substitution of "Something Good" for "An OrdinaryCouple."" My biggest fear is that it's directed by the vastly overrated Rob Ashford.

I wondered about that song substitution - thoughts?

I once heard a minister preach against the song "Something Good" because it excluded the notion of grace and favored good works instead. I don't think I went back to that church. May have been the Methodist church in Middletown when I lived there.

well they were Roman Catholics, not Lutherans, so it makes perfect sense for them to sing that song

Usually UPS doesn't leave anything. I thought that they  needed you to sign something and put it on your door if you wanted them to leave it.  They certainly shouldn't be leaving a tv.

well alcohol has to be delivered to someone of legal age to drink - but anyone of any age can steal a TV
