Yesterday, Queen Elizabeth II named Angela Lansbury as a DBE - Dame of the British Empire.     :)

Good morning, all! I slept well last night and I credit that to my neti pot, which cleared my sinuses very nicely.  I was having a wonderful dream when the phone rang and now, 30 minutes later, I remember nothing about it.

I'm gingko take the laundry to the laundromat, then board a bus and head to a large supermarket several blocks away.  On my return I will put the laundry into the dryers, put away my groceries, and tidy the apartment.  The rest of the day will be given to Trumpet 4.

Best New Year's Eve? 1973, I think.

Good morning, all.

Yes I could actually use one, maybe two more months before we change years.  I mean, if no one minds.

TOD:

I tend to stay away from crowds and avoid driving too far on amateur night, so I can't really think of a memorable New Year's Eve.

The duvet is in the dryer. It was a cold wait for a bus and a successful trek to the market. There was another long cold wait for the return bus, which was driven by a jerk who is -  I am guessing - a trainee: slow bus, lousy stops and unsure how to navigate the controls for the handicapped; in short, a total failure.

Still, I am home in one piece.  I believe I saw James Lapine in the laundromat. Smeone who looked like him was dropping off their laundry.

I wasn't sure if Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin were still doing their New Year's Eve show on CNN. My tv's guide did not list it. So I googled it. And yes they will be on from 9pm -12:30am. Always a good laugh.

Last night I watched a really good show on a Canadian channel. Last summer Kristin Chenoweth had hosted a Just For Laughs gala. They played most of it on tv last night. She was so good. And very funny (even though she did not do stand-up). Love her!

I have watches the first 7+ episodes of Season 1 of House of Cards with Kevin Spacey. Very good series. I would recommend it so far.

I really enjoyed reading about the kids' rehearsals.

But I totally misread one line. You said something like "Person 1 and person 2 are doing a duet, Agony". And I read it as "Person 1 and person 2 are doing their duet.  Agony".

But then when you went on to say how much fun it was I read it again. :)

Happy New Year, everyone!

The last 30 or so New Year's Eves have been spent at a soup potluck at the church. Good clean soupy fun.

I liked it...with reservations.
