Good morning, all.

Already a crazy day. My car tried to eat my employee badge.

I would like to hear this story please

I got to work early today (go figure) and was gathering all my stuff up to get out of the car. As I closed the door, I heard this clatter and thought I had gotten the seat belt caught in the door, but that wasn't it. So I walked the 10 minutes to the door and when I got there, I realized I didn't have my badge on my, so I retraced my steps, which wasn't easy, because everybody was walking in the opposite direction. I finally got back to my car and couldn't find the badge. I looked under my car, under the neighboring car, under the seat, all over the front of the car. Somehow, the cord it was attached to must have gotten entangled in the seat belt and sent the badge flying. It was in the back seat and not really in an accessible spot. By the time I found it, I was late for work.

Captain and Tennille are getting a divorce!!  After 38 years of marriage.

??? Well, if they can't make it, who can??

Apparently love didn't keep them together.

This was one of those crazy-driver days. Some people feel that every day is crazy-driver day, but in my stomping ground some days are worse than others. After seeing one incident after another, plus one totally out-of-it pedestrian, this was the finale: I was walking out of the drug store toward my car when I saw a new Mercedes back into a new Lexus SUV, which was parked. CRUNCH! And the Mercedes driver was starting to drive away! I couldn't believe it! I pointed to the Lexus, saying, "You just hit that car!" The Mercedes didn't stop. I continued pointing and saying, "You just hit that car!" The Mercedes stopped, and a man in his sixties, with a long, grey ponytail calmly got out and asked, "Did I hit something?" "Yes!" I said, "You just backed into that car!" A woman then got out of the SUV and looked at the damage. I was surprised there was so little--it was really just a scratch, but a loooonnng one. I left them to work it out among themselves, but I have a hunch it's that the woman's car, that she's a housekeeper or nanny entrusted with the family car. In any case, it's up to them.

At least the guy stopped.  Just yesterday, my friend Margo called me and said that she was hit yesterday late in the afternoon at an intersection and the guy who hit her car just took off!  It was getting dark, so she couldn't really get a description or a license plate.  No one around her stopped to help, either.  She did call the police but they didn't even want to write up a report because of no witnesses. :P

So, her car (it's used...she got for her daughter who's a senior in high school, but she just got it last year!) doesn't drive well now and she'll more than likely have to either pay a lot to get it fixed or get another (used) car.

He dialated my eyes and it was the best of all possible outcomes: the ocular migraine, which mimics the retinal detachment , but is not serious and goes away  by itself

Yikes!!  I can't imagine going through that.  So glad it was not serious!
