TOD;

Unfortunately, I don't think I have seen any of Harold Princes's productions.

However I noticed he has the same BIRTHDAY AS ME  so I already like him!!!

I noticed that THE GOOD GERMAN is directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Has any DR seen this?

Didn't care for The Good German. It seemed more an exercise in style than substance. But I loved the cast.

You, too, Kate. The thought of going shopping in a book store sounds like a wonderful present to me.

Just starting to explore more of Anthony Mann's movies lately and found a good analysis of his noirs and westerns on the LA Times site today:

Matthew, what do you think of The Beautiful Game? I just started listening to it. Haven't gotten all the way through, but I do like a few of the songs.

Well, in it's original form (which is what the CD is), I really like what I've heard.  However, now it has a new title The Boys in the Photograph and of course, "Our Kind of Love" has been dropped from the show and was used for the melody for "Love Never Dies" in Love Never Dies.  I don't know what the new show is like now.  RnH is licensing it for amature productions, and it's on my list of shows to do someday.  It's a sad story, but it has some great tunes.

Doh!  Fur pity's sake!  I mixed up your sister Paula with Kate.

All gears are not fully functional, I fear.
