Back from clean teeth, a chili, cheese and onion omelet, and printing out the book for my first pass at proofing.  I did the first chapter - I could see immediately that I was cautiously feeling my way through the chapter, and there were things that needed to either be cut or changed to match the way I did things after the first three pages.  Really minor stuff, but very helpful.  I'll run it by Muse Margaret this afternoon, just to make sure she agrees, but now that I'm past that first chapter, everything should be okay in terms of what I found in the first three pages, really pages two, three, and four.

Also talked to the publisher and got that stuff rolling, as well as talk to Grant about the cover so he can start thinking about things.  Interesting that the publisher is now owned by Random House - through careful wording I suppose I can say the name of the publisher and then "a division of Random House" :)

I assume that this is not in reference to Ron's post just above it. ;)

And I am home. It's been along day. The UPS, which usually arrives between 12:30 and 1:30, did not arrive until a little after three.

Back to Toyland tomorrow for the piano tuner.

TOD:

BRUTE FORCE, which I watched for the first time recently and it immediately shot to the top of my list.

MIDNIGHT EXPRESS, certainly one of the more challenging movies I've ever watched.  Brutal.  Not yer typical prison movie.

But I like 'em all.  I'm sure I'm forgetting a few I'd like to mention.

I'm unaware of that kid having any debilitating disease, unless it was back story on how he got the gig.  In the commercial, he was a Vader-obsessed kid trying to use the Force on everything.

I had to Google him...he didn't get the job because of the medical issue, just that he had a medical issue and then made this very popular car commercial.  THIS video/article was when he had a follow-up surgery about a year after the commercial originally aired.

Thanks for the link.

Thank you for the vibes please keep 'em coming   I fell asleep and was woken by the agony that exists where my mouth used to be -  I spelt past the new pain med cycle  I have now taken them but it was so  painful swallowing the pill and sip of water that I have no desire to attempt eating   well I needed to lose a few pounds anyway

Hopefully pain meds will kick in shortly

My Pastor just posted this question: " My Dad and I  will drive the PCH from San Fran to San Diego in March. What do I need to see during our 10 days?

His Dad has been told "nothing else can be done" in his fight with cancer so this is a final son and dad trip -  West Coast Dear Readers, do you any suggestions I can pass along?

You're entitled, DR vixmom! You should have some soup or broth with your pain pills, I think.

Ran the few changes by Muse Margaret for chapter one and she liked and agreed with all of them, save for one thing I was thinking about deleting - she thought it should stay so stay it did.
