To all DR readers who were pregnant did you ever have pickles and ice cream or was that just a invention of a comedy writer?

As I kid, I could not wait for the next Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis movie to open. I still watch Hollywood or Bust from time to time.

I like making peanut butter and cream cheese sandwiches.  I also like eating liverwurst on rye with potato chips mashed into the liverwurst.

Here's a LINK for KPFK, the radio station BK will be appearing on today.  There is a "Listen Live" button.

Bon Anniversaire a DRJose.

Bon Anniversaire a DR JRand.

Private to DR MShayne:  "The Opening of Misty Beethoven" was NOT the film to which I was referring.....close, but no cigar.  (Truth be told, I couldn't even tell you the name of it....but it was NOT "The Opening of Misty Beethoven.")

Odd food combinations?  As I have said in the past, as a child, I used to adore sandwiches made with American Cheese and strawberry preserves.  I tend to put Russian dressing on a variety of sandwiches (including hamburgers), but I don't think there is anything too odd about that. Peanut butter and apples and cheese and apples are two fairly common combinations, too.  I will check in later if I think of anything that strikes me as an odd combination.

(On occasion, I do like apple sauce with chicken, both fried and roasted.  I think this comes from it being on the table when we would have latkes with roasted chicken.  Does that suffice?)

As for favorite comedy teams' favorite films, (or whatever the TOD is...): Don't have any.  Never really had a favorite comedy team, per se.  Therefore, I don't really have a favorite film in which they were featured.

BTW (by the way, in internet lingo), DR George:  Some of those jokes last night were quite amusing!  And reminded me of one of my favorite "combo" jokes:  If actress Rosemary DeCamp had married attorney William Kunstler, she'd have been Rosemary, DeCamp Kunstler.

Ciao.

Regarding some posts from yesterday that I didn't get a chance to reply to...

EVENING PRIMROSE will be shown (as half of a double bill with Sal Mineo in Cole Porter's ALLADIN) at NYC's Museum of Television and Radio on Saturday October 2 at 12:30 PM.

John A. Yap claims he won't release ANYONE CAN WHISTLE, ONE TOUCH OF VENUS, etc. until "the climate is right".  I have heard that he doesn't have to pay the artists most of their fee until the release date.

***

I can't think of any strange combinations that I eat but I have a friend who eats peanut butter and ham slices sandwiches.

My favorite comedy team is Marie Dressler and Polly Moran.  I have seen a few of their silent fiilms but can't recall the names.

I also like eating liverwurst on rye with potato chips mashed into the liverwurst.

Now that sounds good! I'll try it.
The last sandwich recommendation I tried (Scrapple, Fried Egg, Applesauce) was swell.

If BK writes "One Solitary Ding Dong ", he could then have a sequel "One Undescended Ding Dong".

Notes From Yesterday:

Panni offered:
Quote
I'm very tempted to buy it and wear it to my next netwrok meeting

My question: Does she take her petwrok to her netwrok meeting?

To the "What is your favorite question song?" query, Noel replied:
Quote
I'm guessing BK is fond of Who Can I Turn To?

I'm guessing BK's answer would be "What Kind of Fool Am I".

My personal answer:

"What Do I Know" from "Your Own Thing"

der Brucer (BK could never favor a song with a grammatically incorrect title)

Favorite scree team films:

Abbott and Costello: HOLD THAT GHOST

Bob Hope and Bing Crosby: THE ROAD TO MOROCCO

As a kid, I loved Martin & Lewis' THE CADDY, but as I now loathe any and all things Jerry Lewis, I can't in all good conscience include them here.

Odd food combinations? I mentioned it here before that I love butter and peanut butter sandwiches, but I found out so did several other DRs, so maybe it's not such an odd combination after all.

Oh, I don't know. "Average" in Hainesworld is probably pretty odd "Out There".

I am beginning to think that peanut butter goes well with just about anything! DR George's mixing it in yogurt sounds quite good!

I would say that my odd combo of food would be peanut butter and mayo.

Or mashed potatos with buttery corn mixed in, or peas depending on which vegi you happen to have on your plate.

I support much of the non-traditional casting movement, but isn't this a bit much:
