I discovered I never entered a book I read last year onto Goodreads which means I read 155 books, not 154. I am very proud of myself as I have only read thirteen, as in the title of today's notes, books this year. Granted most of them were somewhat long books but then I often read long books.

I've read 14 (some short). I haven't been reading as much because of the Olympics. Plus the book I want to read is still in verification at the library. Usually verification just takes a few hours. But now i'm thinking it probably won't be ready till monday (assuming i am first on the list which is not a sure thing).

I uninstalled a few programs that I installed on Thursday, and now my new computer is working as it is supposed to......

AND I can use FireFox as my browser without all the problems. AND I did it all myself.

Just found out that a friend of mine from college days, Angelo Henderson, who went on to win a Pulitzer Prize and became a well-known radio personality in Detroit, has died. No details on cause of death. Nothing.

Had seen Angelo since I graduated back in 1983. But I followed his career.

Although a biopic of sorts, I thoroughly enjoyed Geoffrey Rush as Peter Sellers in "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers", despite the opinion that the book it's based on is not the definitive biography.

On a related note, I did enjoy reading A Splurch in the Kisser: The Movies of Blake Edwards by Sam Wasson.
