DR elmore: Glad that Groucho helped!

BTW, listening to "John Barry: The Concert".  IF ONLY someone ( ::) hmmmmmm . . . ) would reissue the soundtrack to "Mary, Queen of Scots" which is among Barry's best and not heard as often as his Bond music.

An hour of my time wasted trying to get a book back onto my Nook that refuses to download after disappearing.  I am reading to kill the Nook customer service.

Oops, "ready"

First I attempted a live chat and never got beyond someone saying hello.  I kept timing out because they didn't respond.

The current person refuses to let me speak to a manager.  I don't understand why they can't just send me a new book.  It only cost $2.99 to begin with.

decided to stop by my folks - when I got there I discovered that the paths and driveway had not yet been shoveled and conveniently , there was a snow shovel  standing outside the garage door so I cleared the snow away and went in for  a visit.

I planned to invite them out for lunch but my Mom was already in the middle of cooking stuffed peppers  so we visited for an hour or so and then  I headed home -

FINALLY!!!!  It would have been more cost effective for me to just re-purchase the book since it cost so little but I refused to do so.  I also refused to do a complete shut down and re-registration of my account.  Last time I did that it screwed up everything.

My back is aching so I took a muscle relaxer and I am sitting with a heating pad --- I am concerned about having another muscle spasm  like the one that put me out of commission while we were on vacation in Florida

Looking forward to playing in our AACB concert. No family coming despite me asking my brother to bring my parents...the first time I've ever asked him to do something like that. BUT, Paul and another friend are using my family passes, so I will have someone in the audience for me. Having no one there was really getting old

Did he say he will take them another time?
No he actually suggested having their neighbors bring them..they are older than my parents.  I'm not going to worry about it anymore.  We do have recordings of every concert. I've been buying them for mom and dad.  Don't know if they ever listen to them, but it's the best I can do at this point

Hurrah!  I laughed though  when I saw you wrote that you were "reading to kill somebody"  I never heard of that method of murder before  :)

Good evening all. I appreciate all the vibes and I"m sure if I didn't live in the middle of nowhere there would be DRs there to cheer me on.   Paul did come to see us.  He had my "band spouse" pass. He sat right in the middle near the front.   He had a great time and so did I.  I love playing and loved the music we did.  One of the members of my flute choir was there.  She used to be in the band but got tired of commuting, so she isn't anymore.  Another former band member stopped to chat with me and several band members who had seen my post on fb were very supportive and welcoming.

It was a very nice day, actually. We have this week off of rehearsal and then start practicing for our last concert of the year which is on April 6. It's going to be all patriotic stuff so it should be fun

I'm sorry, that wasn't nice of him.  Recordings are not the same as them watching you even if they are listening to them.  I know how you feel.

I'm going to see How to Succeed... with friends Dennis and Carol.   It's at the Olney Theatre in Olney, Maryland.  I've never been there.  I guess it's about an hour away.   Looking forward to seeing George Dvorsky in the show.

What roles are Dennis and Carol playing?
