Thank you so much, everyone, for the continued vibes and good wishes. More swollen and sore today, but that is what is expected. Slowly and surely, my body will recover. But all of you sure help! Thanks.
DR Jane - the "ice tsunami" photos and videos were very scary! I live on the Mississippi River, but fortunately high atop a large hill.
WACKY EVENT THAT I CAN RECALL:One that comes to mind and is suitable for reading here (and in an indirect way relates to the subject of westerns vis a vis Red Gold):During my time as an undergraduate, the drinking age was changed and then changed back for some dumb reason. Anyway, to celebrate, a group of us got together and toddled on over to Collegetown where I was "magically" transformed into Nasty McNasty (of Warner Bros. cartoon fame). Not being a drinker, the effects of the many White Russians I had made me think that I could slide the glasses down the length of the bar just like in the Old West. Needless to say, I broke quite a few glasses and pitchers. Before you could say "Randolph Scott", my buddies got me out of there to avoid any problems. In real life, I am a very Clark Kent-ish person, but I discovered that night I can be really wild given a bit of the old spirits. I learned my lesson though. I was so sick for the next 2-3 days, that I have never, ever gotten that inebriated again, and never will.
The reading of my play went extremely well. I was very pleased. My dog decided that he likes living with us. Indeed, he virtually ignored his former owners for the 2-3 hours that they were here.
No packages today.
You'd think it was a Saturday or something. Most unseemly.
