Good morning, all! Around 6:30 the anxiety attack began, and by 6:45 I was out of bed. My last dream had something to do with illustrator Edward Ardizzone, an artist whose work has never much appealed to me, and those photos of high rise construction workers lunching on steel beams hanging hundreds of feet off the ground.

So, today is an overdub day at the studio; the seven Collegians will record to the orchestra tracks everything they have to sing except for their two numbers with Jason Graae, which we will record on Tuesday evening. Jason is off today with a Lyrics & Lyricists concert at the 92nd Street Y, and he joins us on Tuesday.  We also have Jeanne Lehman, Laura Daniel, Stephen Cole, Tally Sessions, and Patrick Cummings to sing various things with them. We need to finish up the numbers with Patrick and Tally by 2:00; they have to get to a 2:00 matinee.

So, I need to run to the corner bodega to pick up lunch, some bottled water, and milk. I need coffee!  I have to be out of here in 90 minutes.

Stephen Cole, as in, composer Stephen Cole?

Stephen Cole, librettist and lyricist who wrote the musical version of NIGHT OF THE HUNTER that BK recorded.

I didn't go to bed. I stayed up and watched all of DOWNTON ABBEY. Now I'm going to bed.

I just watched the "Nancy / Tonya" Story and the interview with Nancy in Sochi with Bob Costas; and I can't help but wonder if Tonya was offered a round trip ticket to Russia to appear on the show?

And she did.  Lots of ins and outs in tonight's finale.

When I left the session this afternoon, our 3-time Grammy winning producer Judy said to me, "Thank you for dragging me into this project." About an hour ago, I realized that in January or February of 1984, 30 years ago, I met her at RCA Studios on Sixth Avenue between 42nd and 43rd Street on the first session of my very first recording, "Songs of New York," conducted by John McGlinn. I also met at those sessions my friends Kim Criswell, DavidGarrison, Karla Burns, and the late Joel Imbody. I had already worked with others who sang on the recording through Bill Tynes' New Amsterdam Theatre Company: Judy Kaye, Cris Groenendaal, Ron Raines, Debbie Gravitte, and the late great Paula Laurence.

I'm feeling old.

Bruce I have never had anyone get upset when I've pointed out a post is a hoax including the one you mention in the notes, that I also mentioned yesterday.

I will agree with Bruce on this one.  I have tried to point out wrongful posts and I have been told to mind my own business.

It was a nice weekend break to start until my mother's house got shot at over the weekend. Yes, in North Dakota!

That is horrible.  Do they know who is responsible?

I'm watching the CBC broadcast of the closing ceremonies and right now, they're showing a hockey game.  They just showed a commercial about Canadian athletes and people celebrating the games while watching on TVs and different devices.  Well, they showed a gay couple kissing!  The whole commercial showed a LOT of various shots very quickly, and this was just one amongst the many, but it was so cool!  They were actually kissing (and not platonically ;))

I think they replayed the hockey game after the Closing ceremonies.

DR George how far from you does Margo live?  It is good she didn't have to spend the evening waiting until you could drive her home.

I personally think Native American is more appropriate than Indian which I find confusing when there is an entire country of Indians in India.  I have read that Native Americans still say Indian.

Margo only lives about six miles away from me, so it's pretty close.  And these "Indians" were definitely NOT from India, nor were they even remotely "Native Americans."  They had too much pastel and fluorescent and neon colors to be "Native Americans." ;D

The last time I saw Cathy do PETER PAN, "Ugg A Wugg" was one of the biggest showstoppers in the entire show.

Wow, this day of mostly relaxation turned into anything but.  The reason: While I was eating my luncheon, Grant sent me a PDF of the book layout.  So, I came home, put it on a little flash drive and went and had it printed out for my final proofing.  And that is literally what I did all day up until six-fifteen, when I went over to Grant's and we entered all the corrections.  The book looks incredible.

Yes, that's correct.  My Native friends here refer to themselves as Indian and the subcontinental Indians as East Indians.  BTW, my Native friends were (and are) fans of the Indians on "F Troop" never taking offense.  However, they did not like the Iron Eyes Cody "Keep America Beautiful" ads.  Ironically, both main Indians were portrayed by Italian-American actors.

I didn't realize that about Iron Eyes Cody, Dan.  Thank you.

It certainly proves that Big Brother is watching us on our computers.  I realized that a couple of weeks ago, I looked up on Google what a "Minnie Winnie" was, and found out it was an RV.  That is what started this landslide of RV e-mails.

thanks  not bad for a $20 thrift shoppe special!  A few eyes and hooks added to the back  and  30 minutes with my steamer and it was ready to go...  I wanted something completely over the top that I would never wear in 'real life"
