Well, I'm back in San Antonio after an excess of food and spirits and good times in Atlanta.

Congratulations on a great show, BK. And great news about that causal attire, DR Ryacko.

On the CNN documentary "and the Oscar goes to..." the other night, they showed the most delightful clip of presenter Glynis Johns reading an acceptance speech from an absent actor. It was hilarious!
Does anyone know/can anyone remember what year/what actor? I've searched online for the clip and cannot find it.

Oops - it was Hermione Gingold, not Glynis Johns. Still can't find the clip, though.

Well, they played mother and daughter, so perhaps you were just mixed up because of the family resemblance.

Drumroll, please!

I can now tell you that our son Rob will be a paramedic for the Butler County Inmate Medical Unit.  He will have a lot of direct patient care, which will be great experience for his ultimate goal of becoming a physician assistant.

This looks like it will be a very interesting job.  This seems to be one of those times when something better comes out of an unpleasant experience.

Back from a really fun meal with Alet Taylor - had a grand time catching up.  I had a meatless Cobb salad and nothing else.  In about forty-five minutes I'll leave for the casting session.

"warm voice and causal attire" - sounds like it should be a title of soemthing, but also sounds like a really nice review

Yes, DR Jane, he kind of held out for something other than transport.

DR Ginny - fantastic!  So thrilled for DS Rob. Sounds like a great step on his desired path. He is fortunate to be employed!

I couldn't get the John Travolta widget to translate my name, but I was able to get the Swedish Chef to translate the last paragraph of today's notes by DA BK:

Watching the latest BBC production of "The 39 Steps." Not the Hitchcock movie by any means, but fun.
