Well, this is interesting. An "app" that will allow you to read a novel in 90 minutes.

Mind you, I'm not saying that this is a GOOD thing. But it is interesting.

From DR Cilla:
Quote
She was actually pretty pleasant about it after that

That surprises me.  Once your records are transferred you might want to send a private letter to the doctor as to why you left.  I wonder if she feared that and decided she had better be pleasant to you.

Bruce I didn't think Goth when I looked at the Vixter's photos.  Her hair is a bit dark for my taste but at her age she pulls it off and looks very pretty and grown up.

I don't think so, DR Jrand63. I don't think it needs to be "fixed."       :)

Yeah. Sad.

Has anyone seen the preview of the new "Annie" movie?
I haven't had time to watch it yet.

bk, I am wondering if the process of writing the daily notes helps you when you are writing your books. Every author talks about facing "the blank page," but you do this every single day. Just wondering if you feel that forcing yourself to face this challenge every day helps when it comes to your book writing.

I'm sure in some way it does - I've never sat when I'm doing a book and stared for too long - I learned a long time ago to just dive in and write even if it's not good - then fix later - that way you start - starting is the thing - easy to fix stuff after.

Okay, so finally, after posting about the oak stereo rack or whatever it was originally called, this will probably be a letdown, but here it is:

The bottom shelf was, of course, designed for holding records, and those are what remain of the soundtrack albums.

(The rest of the records cover an entire wall, I'm afraid, and while it's a nice collection accumulation, it all needs to be whittled down further.  At its peak several years ago, I estimated it to be some 5,000 albums.  Oy!)

More to follow.

Since these components sit on a side wall (with the TV at the "front" of the room), I'd had trouble with the signals from the remotes reaching their intended targets from the couch, so moving the Blu-ray player and cable box to the corner and putting them at an angle was just the ticket.

And here's the TV stand, the other favorite solid oak piece from Rogersound in the mid-'80s:

Finally, for the sake of completion since it doesn't show up with the rest, the turntable on wall-(studs, baby, studs)-mounted rack.

That's all, folks.  Unlike with Vixmom and SingSing, you don't get a picture of me in an evening gown.

I had that same Pioneer reel-to-reel tape recorder!

I didn't, back in the day, but I lusted after it in every Pacific Stereo store I entered!  I bought this one from a guy on eBay several years ago who proved to be totally reliable on this stuff, and it's in wonderful condition.
