tonight was the first of our Lenten dinners at church - just soup, bread and salad followed by a Bible study and short worship service

It really is a nice peaceful way to end a Wednesday night

We used to have suppers before Lenten services. They were nice, coming from work before the service.

I only expected to see about 25 or 30 midweek is often hard as so many members work in city and often are not home until later - I was pleasantly surprised to see nearly 50 showed up
