I used the word Nook in updating the lyrics to Falling Out of Love - the original line was "and I'm never without a book" which is now "and I'm never without my Nook" :)

If only I didn't need to get some sleep and have a busy day tomorrow.

DR Dan

Sorry to hear about your problems. I can't believe that the banks will not help. I'm sure there must video of the person cashing the checks. Didn't they ask for ID?

TOD

I read all sorts of comics. Superman, Batman, Archie series, Richie Rich, The comic books that illustrated history, bible stories etc whose name I can't think of at this time of the day.

I preferred the Superman and Batman comics because their stories went the whole book. I think it was Richie Rich (Harvey Comics) that each story was only four or five pages long and there was two or three stories per book. Not sure if I am remembering it correctly though.

I was also a big fan of MAD magazine for many years and was more of a devoted reader than any of the other comic books.

I am devastated to hear about DR Dan M's problem. I can't imagine how the thieves could have succeeded if the bank were following proper ID protocol.

At the same time, I admire your resolve to let this go, hard as that may be, in the interest of avoiding stress and its affect on your health. You are a tower of strength, DR Dan M!!!!!

I had a dream last night about Carol Channing serving as a hospital chaplain.

I think I need to get out more.
