Along with the Christian holidays that I celebrated as a child, and still celebrate as an adult, I have had great fun celebrating with my Indo-American group two of the major Hindu holidays, Holi and Diwali!

I have great news for the bitch: nothing!

That is great news. I wouldn't put it past her, though, to try to trump up some evidence otherwise.     ???

I know.

She's looking into payments on the Ohio property, which may be in jeopardy with this company's folding, and it's a major concern of mine. I'm worried that it may be tied up in the business venture as collateral since all decisions on it are run by the two-thirds majority with no concern for my input. If the Macbeths hadn't been so greedy in 2007 and so opposed to anything I suggested, we might have sold it by now.

Even though Lady M was keeping a tight grip on the company's books while the official company office was Chez Macbeth before 2012, she knew full well that I was paying my third of the Ohio property taxes myself and that the company wasn't paying them for me. It does make me wonder about what personal items the company was covering for them.

Oh no!!!  And I was thinking the business problems might motivate them to finally sell this. :(

Thanks to DRs ChasSmith, Elmore, and Ben for the travel vibes!  We are looking forward to the weekend.  Richard's brother and his wife (groom's parents) are including us in so many of the festivities in addition to Saturday's wedding - dinner tonight, rehearsal dinner tomorrow, and Sunday brunch at bride's parents' home.  We are now the Palmer family elders, after all  8)

You might look into preparing a lawsuit to recover what "would have been your share" of the sale of the house.  A gentle hint that this is being legally considered might bring some unexpected results.

I have always LOVED Christmas.  And I pretty much enjoyed Easter as well, even after the Easter Bunny stopped visiting me.  I was a bit put off by the annual shopping for new clothes just prior to Easter, but I've never enjoyed clothes shopping.

When I was with NATO in Italy, it was my sincere joy and delight that the month of December (and into early January) was a smorgasboard of international holidays....American, Italian, Greek and British holidays were shared by all of us in December.  The NATO Christmas tree would be lit by December 9th....and from then until New Year's Day, we worked at 50% manning (our bosses could arrange that any way they wanted...half-days or full days on/off).  Plus the holidays would appear out of nowhere.  I found myself with way too much time on my hands during Decembers in 1987 and 88.  Too much time to shop and decorate.  It was fun, but a bit too much, as well, since I had no family to share time with.

I have no knowledge of back story here, but {{{{{HUGS}}}} seem to be appropriate.

And I am home from physical therapy, changed, and hoping that a check will arrive in today's post. My fingers re crossed.

I've got to make some phone calls that I have postponed for the past three days, and make a run to the market. Tomorrow, I will go to the sitzprobe for THE MOST HAPPY FELLA, and I'll have half of a hoagie for dinner and the other half for tomorrow's lunch.

Hmm...that's notated weirdly.  To me, that first eighth-note ("Good") should be a pick-up and the first quarter note ("mor-") should be the downbeat of the next measure.  It's an eighth-note off.

But, good morning to you, too, Singdaw!

TOD:

As a kid, I don't recall being overly excited about any religious holiday...except that on Christmas you got presents.

Me, either...except maybe Easter because of the chocolate and coloring the eggs.

Also, I don't think that I dreaded any religious holidays.  I probably just ignored those. ;)

Vibes for a great flight and a wonderful dinner tonight, DR Ginny.

I may have to go back to that later today. C. Jackson's version of "Joey, Joey, Joey" may be the best I've ever heard.

I really enjoyed Cheyenne's version.  I do still love, love, LOVE (that's three loves) Liz Callaway's version, though. :D

I don't know if the Ohio property is tied up in the business megillah, but all concerns about the property are my brothers' two-thirds majority rule. The Macbeths call the shots and Randy capitulates  because it's easier on his emotional state to let them push him around. While it's infuriating to me, I'm 500 miles away and have no say. I honestly think the property is safe because it's worth too much for the Macbeths to lose it.

Lady M will continue to look for other places in the Moore structure to glut her greed; I may be off the hook with the property taxes, but I'm certain the old bitch is pondering other possible methods to get something out of me before it's over. I just want her dead.

We are settled in our hotel waiting to hear about dinner plans.  Hope it's soon, because lunch was the snacks they gave us on the plane.  At least they offered extras because of the delay.
