TOD:

"IT IS A TRUTH UNIVERSALLY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT A SINGLE MAN IN POSSESSION OF A GOOD FORTUNE MUST BE IN WANT OF A WIFE".

and, of course, please do not forget the very funny parody PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES by Seth Grahame-Smith
(I think he started, or at least was at the start of, the parody books that changed classic lit into zombie lit, some good, some not so, but this one is well-done):

“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains."

And I am home from my peregrinations.  I've seen the doctor and have a referral to a dermatologist, I've had my meeting with Rob Berman, I've visited with my son Joshie, and i've transposed those 40 bars to B major. I can orchestrate in bliss now.

“When I look back on my childhood I wonder how I managed to survive at all. It was, of course, a miserable childhood: the happy childhood is hardly worth your while. Worse than the ordinary miserable childhood is the miserable Irish childhood, and worse yet is the miserable Irish Catholic childhood.”

ANGELA'S ASHES

I remember this as being the opening lines of the book.  To my surprise (I went to my copy to quote it correctly) it is the second paragraph.

I see that ALADDIN received a nomination for Best Original Score.  Isn't this the Disney cartoon brouht to life?

It's been expanded and there is a new lyricist, so there are more songs than what the movie had.

This is what I just saw on Saturday...PHOTO EXCLUSIVE: Behind the Scenes With Will Reynolds and 5th Avenue Theatre's A Room with a View Musical!

;D

That's a beautiful theatre! I'm wondering if the director is the same ass responsible for screwing up the LIFE BEGINS AT 8:40 concert/recording.

"Ships at a distance have every man's wish on board."

Zora Neale Hurston, "Their Eyes Were Watching God"

I read this and requested the book from the library.

One of my all-time favorites. I've read it five or six times.

Much of the new stuff is actually old stuff that was not used in the movie.

It's been expanded and there is a new lyricist, so there are more songs than what the movie had.

And they are using some songs written for the film but dropped. So that is why Howard Ashman has received a nomination 23 after his death.
