I think this candidate will soon be on RuPaul's Drag Race.  I like how the story ended with a paragraph about him being in a three-way.

Maybe they should call the TV movie of this judging situation DANCING WITH THE RATS.

Yesterday I got my grand-nephew Cole (age 6) hooked on ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE.

Today I am heading up to Portland to see the original 1954 GODZILLA on the big screen

I'd say this is to be a darn productive weekend.

Cole's sister Harper (age 2) wasn't as interested in ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE. She did like the part where, after Sally (played by June Kenney), finds that she has been shrunk to the size of a Barbie doll, she lets our a scream.

Harper thought that was funny, and proceeded to re-enact the scream over and over, and then laugh.

Thanks everyone for the congrats.  Paul and I had a good laugh over the article in the paper.  We both said many intelligent things, but only the things that sounded dumb made the article.  It doesn't matter though, they do that to everyone and we had a great day.  Paul said he's spent $150 of his $50 win, lol

Since I know a lot of you don't watch Foxnews, thought I'd tell you Fox News Sunday is going to do a story on Brian Stokes Mitchell.

From yesterday #2 TCB

Indian and Kristin have been told that they are both too old for the film version of WICKED.

Couldn't they use the Lucille Ball filters from Mame? Who was at least 20 years too old for the role

I can't believe it.  I overrode SpellCheck three times before I (thought) finally won the battle of Idina

Which always confused me, because they said that Angela Lansbury was too old to play Mame in the film.

Thanks to everyone for the vibes for Dancing With the [Putnam County] Stars.

I am a bit distressed about the outcome.....but what can I say.  Sharon and I were in last place....yes, last place.

The strange thing is that there were 12 couples in the competition.  Eleven couples got perfect scores of 30, and Sharon and I got 29.

One of the judges doesn't like Sharon OR her husband, and she had mentioned that he might do something like that.....which he did.  So it was kind of a bummer....but we had fun.  And much money was raised for the Putnam County Youth Development Commission.

The audience was a bit confused as well....but it was a nice evening.

That seems like a rather obvous slam to you and your partner.  I think they need to be a little more select in their choice of judges.

Perhaps, next year, they should select someone a little more impartial; like me!

Jrand, in addition to the obvious favoritism, isn't it a bit strange that all the others had perfect scores? Is this the custom or is grading more like the Olympics?

DR FJL, the VERY BEST of VIBES at the hearing this week. I know this has been an angst-filled journey. Whatever happens, I hope you find some resolution and satisfaction.

Hugs to TCB, remembering his Mom's birthday yesterday.

It was my mother's birthday too. She had a good day despite still missing my Dad

A Very Happy Belated Birthday to Mike's Mom!! :D

My recent angst has been over my troublesome back issues. The program that worked for me for many years just isn't working anymore. I REALLY don't want surgery and have my doubts that it'd be all that helpful, anyway. So I am looking for alternatives. On Tuesday I'll see a new doc, the primary care physician that I selected at UCLA. I hope he understands my condition--the majority of doctors do not. Then we'll see whether he approves the referrals I request (it's a long list) and how much of the cost I'll have to take care of myself.

My hairdresser's neighbor recently had the surgery. I'd like to talk to her. Our situations are somewhat different, but it might be enlightening.

I'm up after the good night's sleep I so needed - about ten and a half hours.  Of course I'm groggy but I'll soon jog in this awful heat and get that out of the way, then just relax and get my voice warmed up as it's going to get.

Bruce, is it still hot at your house? It's supposed to be cooling down here. Not sure it is yet, though.

Singdaw, sorry about your rash. I discovered Derma-e's vitamin E cream to be very helpful when I had shingles. It's not greasy and quite affordable. Can be used for any number of things. I now use it as a hand cream. Available at health food stores.
