I don't think I have a whole frenzy in me, but I'll do what I can.

The Cherry Coke was out of order at the Quickie Mart across the street from school yesterday. I was very upset.

That's all I have to say.

I love THE PAJAMA GAME. My first BIG role as an adult was as Vernon Heinz in THE PAJAMA GAME.

Doris Day was BORN to play Babe Williams. She sings like a dream, has softness and feistiness to the perfect degree, and is an excellent actress. Just watch her emote during her reprise of "Hey, There." The song is prerecorded, but the emotions aren't. They're as real as can be.

Beautiful afternoon at the pool today (sorry for E&T behavior). Some digital pictures were taken, and when he uploads them and if they're any good, I'll display some here.

Later, as he cooked dinner, I tinkered with his on-the-brink-of-oblivion laptop and got things restored and working smoothly again.

Came home to find DARBY O'GILL AND THE LITTLE PEOPLE waiting on me, so there is NO secret what I'll be watching in about half an hour.

I haven't watched PAJAMA GAME yet, but will likely do so tonight. I remember that the first things I sold on Ebay were a couple of stills of Doris and John from PAJAMA GAME...got a good price for them too. I was rather surprised!

For those who have seen GUMNAAM (BK and JRand54) remember that gal who dances in the mask in the big nightclub scene. I finally found out her name. It is Laxmi Chhaya. I spotted her in another film that I watched the other day...again she was a dancer...did a wild 1960s go go dance...unfortunatley the movie was taking place in ancient India! LOL!

But she was so cute in her tassle trimmed pantsuit! LOL!

I'll be on my way to the theater shortly.  Keep the home fries burning.  And I'd say we need a few major frenzies right about now.

Got some goodies in the mail today! A dvd of the Italian Ken Clark spy film from the 60s called AGENT 077: FURY IN ISTANBUL and another Bollywood DVD...both courtesy of Ebay!

And I also received 3 autographed photos of Cal Bolder...one from JESSE JAMES MEETS FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER, one of him in western gear, and one from an appearance on MAN FROM UNCLE. Plus a very nice letter!

And he is feeling better now too and if all goes well he and I will meet up in Portland in November!

Panni, once in awhile I get their marzipan-just don’t think the marzipan itself is all that good.  I would rather have a scotchmallow.  In Portland I went to a store that had marzipan between layers of an orange peel candy-yum.

Sandra you always make me smile. :)

I love candied orange peel.

Do you like their dark chocolate covered ginger? Excellent, if you like ginger.

Oy. It took 3 hours to get the water that was left off the bed.  It looks like I will be sleeping on the couch tonight.

Still no luck trying to find a new mattress.  But I am going to try to find the people who manufacture the bed.  The name is Halcyon.  But of course I'm not finding their website.

Dear Reader Jose and I met our quota for art today, of both the high brow variety--at the Getty Center--as well as the low brow.  The latter was at a gallery in Culver City, which was offering a Bob Mizer exhibit.  Those of you who know who Bob Mizer is know from what I speak.

I dropped the Maestro at Los Angeles' world-famous Farmer's Market and made a brief stop at home.  I am now off to the Museum of Neon Art ("MONA.")  I will sit on the top of a double-decker bus and take a tour of the neon signs of Los Angeles.

Now there's an adventure, Dear Readers, from which you can no doubt plotz.

Panni I thought of you when I purchased the marzipan.  For George, MBarnum and JMK, it was purchased at the store where I got the Jordon Almonds.

I wish I liked ginger as it is good for your stomach, including nausea.

I usually buy only a few pieces at a time, the chocolate cream and a scotchmallow and pass on the samples since they are rarely what I want.  They are so kind and keep offering me different ones.  A couple of months ago they were giving out their new peanut butter bar, kind of like a Butterfinger-yummy.  They gave me extras to mail to Craig.

I also like California Brittle and Victorian Toffee.  I think they make the best Peanut Brittle.  I have a Crispy Mint thin in my special jar.

Last summer a friend came to visit.  With her she had two boxes of See’s candy.  She watched in horror as I consumed them and promised never to buy me a box of candy again.  ;D I didn’t really consume it all, I shared some and then after they left, trashed the ones I don’t like.

This must stop-even if I drove 30 minutes to the mall I’m sure the store is closed by now.

I have on NPR which is broadcasting an Opera in English program. I now know why opera shouldn't be sung in English (unless it was written in English to begin with - Britten, for example). The reason it shouldn't be sung in English is that you can't understand what they're saying anyway, so it just becomes an exercise in frustration. If it's in Italian, you don't expect to understand it, so you can relax. Plus Italian or French or German sounds better. Carmen in English? Naw. Give me unintelligible pretty sounds with surtitles and I'm happy.
Carmen does work in English, if it's Carmen Jones.  But that's a special case.
