I am back from having that most unpleasant of diagnostic tests, a colonoscopy, with all the unpleasantness that the preparation entails. It felt so good to be able to eat today! Also, a good report - no polyps, so I don't have to have my next one for 5 more years.

Excellent news!!!  It is the darn drink and they can't seem to come up with something more tolerable.

You guys aren't helping me any....I'll be drinking it next week

VIXMOM'S BOOK from yesterday

made me think of this title

The Pizza Boy...He Delivers

I never read the book, but I believe I used to have the VHS tape.

It appears despite  my  number being a "confirmed winner" and despite the fact that  said "winning number" appeared next to the  photo of the  55" flat screen TV the winning number only meant I won  "one of" the pictured prizes and my prize was a gold replica coin.

Then the fella had the audacity to try and sell me a car.

When I got home I checked  their reviews on Yelp! -  they ain't pretty...

DR Elmore, will you be going to the Trinity concerts?  The 15th is the only iffy one for me, but I'll try to make it happen.  I'm definitely in for the other two.

I'll be around for the 15th and 29th. I'm mixing ROBERTA on the 22nd.

Good morning, all.

I happen to love persimmons and generally keep about six in the freezer for when I need them. In nature, they're not ripe until the first frost, so popping them in freezer does the same trick: It causes the sugars to flow, creating a fruit that is extraordinarily sweet and silky in texture with just a touch of tartness. They're a great addition to pies or pumpkin soup.

What kind of pies?

Good with apple and pear in pies.
