Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Oh, and I may go out for another show that opens in January.

Good luck!  Maybe I'll get to see this one. :)

Very gladdened also to hear that you might be on the stage once again next year.      :)

DR George - did you notice that the new West Side Story in iTunes is an "iTunes LP"?

You get plot synopsis, lyrics, liner notes, and photos to go along with the mp3 tracks.

I did!  I've never seen that before...that was another reason that I bought the download.  I'm transferring files from one hard drive to another right now, but as soon as that's done, I'm going to burn the CDs and take them to work tomorrow.

Another wonderful Facebook audience member comment:

Had the best day with my son, Twain.
Took him to see Lacc TheatreAcademy's production of Lil' Abner.

Lil' Abner is a great musical that almost no one does anymore.
Not because it is dated or the songs are bad.
(Actually the book is hilarious and the songs are first rate)

But because the show is too long and has 55 people in the cast.

The TheatreAcademy production shortened the show and shrunk the cast.
Which helped focus the humor and the story.
It was beautifully directed by a Bruce Kimmel, who is to the cast album what Quincy Jones is to pop music.
(At last count he has produced 186 CDs!!!!)

The cast was first rate.
And it was a thrill to see so many actors I have discovered in one show.

Of course to my son all he cared about was the story.
At intermission he begged me not to leave.
I told him it was just intermission and he shouted "Hooray!"

There is no better review than that!

And here's something from Mark Evanier, a huge Abner expert - he'll write a full review but he couldn't wait to post this interim thing:

And our very own reviewer Rob Stevens has written kind of a wonderful review here at Now Playing - and please remember, if he'd hated it he would have written that - that's our deal - no editorial rules or intrusions from me.

Just click on Now Playing when you're reading the notes.
