Nifty jacket, vest, trousers found at Goodwill for $11 on Monday.  The vest DOES match the jacket.

And so's the suit.

TOD:

Banana Splits
Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp
H.R. Pufnstuf

Oh gosh, forgot Lancelot Link...which I own the DVD set of! Loved it as a kid, and as an adult!

And H.R. Pufnstuf and all the other weirdo related shows like LIDDSVILLE, SIGMUND THE SEA MONSTER, etc.

LOL DR GEORGE.

Yes DR MBARNUM, probably the best suit in the show...better than our rented ones.

More TOD (and even more outre):

ULTRAMAN

JOHNNY SOKO AND HIS FLYING ROBOT

Watched both shows regularly! Johnny Soko and His Flying Robot was about the only kiddy show we got on Sundays in Medford Oregon in 1973, aside from The Rocky and Bullwinkle show.

And I am home from THE MERRY WIDOW and seeing several friends, including our DR ChasSmith, my son Joshie, and Ben Davis. I'm too close to this to have an unbiased opinion, so we'll wait to hear from DR Chassmith on how it went. This was our shakiest of the three in terms of rehearsal time; everyone involved had horrific schedules, so I believe today and yesterday were our only dates with the entire cast together.  O was very proud of what we accomplished.

Here's today's link for the 5/29 Concert at One:

As you know, I thought the bad business was basically done and I was preparing to send my e-mail letter on Monday next.  Well, it isn't done apparently, as my guest artists today received an e-mail - and one that was so stupidly worded that it just makes everything about this even better in terms of what I want and will now expect.  The stupidity is actually mind-boggling and it starts with the header of the e-mail.  Our Abner has already responded and well, Barry will respond in the morning (he's got too much on today) and I assume Maddy will as well.  I now have to revise my e-mail to include this latest outrage, and then I will definitely be looking at my legal options.

Oh BK, sorry to hear that the bad business is continuing. What the heck is this person(s) trying to accomplish?

Yikes!  That's too bad.  Good luck with all your options!

In regards to the TOD:

The very first show I remember really falling in love with as a kid was
'Flipper'. One reason was simply because I loved water and swimming. But
most of all, I always loved watching children perform adult feats. Are all
children like that? Anyway, I just got the biggest thrill out of watching
those two boys dive in the water with their scuba gear. I was only about 5
years old and I doubt I ever could follow the plots, but it didn't matter.
I wanted to BE them. Thus, in 1970. it was a no-brainer when my older
sister read me a story from TV Guide about a new show coming in the Fall
about a mother and her four children who perform in a band and practice in
their garage that I would immediately fall in love with that show too. How
could I not?

It is, quite simply a witch-hunt on the part of the school and the district and they will rue the day they ever began handling it in the way they have, which, to my mind, is not only illegal but a violation of just about every human right there is.

Up until now, I was willing to accept apologies from all concerned - depending on whatever lawyer I speak to says, that time may have come and gone due to the e-mail that was sent today, its header and its content.

Just went and looked at a possible theater to move Abner to in September - but I don't think it's big enough for our set, unfortunately.  I will ascertain that for sure, though, because basically it's being offered for free.

My project, which was put together this week, mostly yesterday, came off very well today and I now have one less thing to think about.

bk - very sorry to hear about the continuing tsuris.

If you believe that legal action might be on the horizon, you might want to consider very carefully what you post about it here on a public forum. That becomes part of the record and could affect possibilities, strategies, and outcomes more than you know.
