BK, about the group of 30 who didn't show up...did they buy their tickets, or did they just make reservations to be there?  Because if they hadn't paid for their tickets, I would think that you need (or the venue needs) a policy that if people don't show up within 15 minutes of the performance, their reservations will be released and sold to others.  You shouldn't have to lose out on those ticket sales just because people either flake out or can't get there in time.

Just a thought.

What we really need around here is an underpants chandelier.

Yeah, that's the ticket!      :)

Thanks to MR BK for the G/D vibes....we open on Thursday, so it's always nice to have a good rehearsal!

Of course five people were gone to graduation ceremonies.....so it was a bit ragged....and I'm not too happy with the lighting, but it is okay.

IF you spent $18,000 on lighting instruments....called intelligent lights that can spin and have built in colors and all kinds of fancy capabilities, where would you put them?

Well......our technical director put ONE on the FRONT of the stage and THREE on the back of the stage....so mostly what they do is shine into the eyes of the audience....no one can convince him otherwise.

I almost made it through the show without car trouble.....BUT last night the PT Cruiser overheated....so it is in the shop....and of course today is a work day....oh well....and tomorrow is the Season Open House....

So who knows what will happen?  I do....but I ain't saying.

I loved reading about the evening with Richard Sherman and MR BK at LACC.  I would have loved to have been there as well.

I have ordered the SPECIAL EDITION of the sheet music!

It seems to me that, as director of the production, you should have an overriding vote.      :P

Good morning, all...

...following the CRAZIEST DAMN DREAM (which consisted of three or four main "scenes") I've come up with yet.  When I woke up this morning I just laid there attempting to remember everything and put it all together -- but while that was happening, I suspect that I slipped into another light sleep and ended up embellishing or manufacturing even more.  Incredible stuff.  It's too bad I haven't the energy or the the time it would take to try putting it down for everyone's reading pleasure.

Coffee!

Big doings today.  Family wedding.

We shall see if we can keep the ugly underside drama from rising to the surface.

A laurel and hearty CONGRATULATIONS to BK on a wonderful evening.

It just kills me not to be zipping out there for these things.

Sheet music ordered.  I neither dillied nor dallied.  And vice versa.

Unnecessary Hammacher Schlemmer item #347:

The Human Bowling Ball  (it will only set you back $5,500!)

Given that set-up, is there any way you could NOT knock down all the pins?      :)

I hope that the "Two Roads" sheet music includes the kazoo instrumental break.         :)

Good morning, all! This morning the site was up, down, up again, then down again, and now it's back.  It was like this on Thursday afternoon.

I have nothing to report. I have work to accomplish here, most tidying up and putting things away.
