I did some low-carb dieting a few weeks ago and dropped ten pounds.  (Not patting myself on the back.  First ten or whatever is always the easy part.)

I've been hiking miles every day. And I've lost 2.6 pounds in four months. I have followed a sensible diet for months now.

But I have massive calf muscles, I hear.

that comment made this song appear in my brain

I feel better now, having been properly rebuked.  And I should have provided refreshments.  And speaking of same, I though A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder looked, at least, like a real musical - although why they have to use projections is just silly.  The song owed more than a little to my close personal friend, Mr. Stephen Sondheim (a la A Little Night Music) but I enjoyed it the best of anything I've seen so far and it's the only one I'd actually like to see.

I liked the number from GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE.

I have the CD and really enjoy it.

I believe it may be time for a rebuke or two.

I was eating dinner with some friends this evening and one of them was talking about New Jersey diners.

It made me want to launch a three-week tour of every diner in NJ, LI, and CT.

you need three weeks just for Long Island

Yes, I realized that after hitting "POST".  Three weeks wouldn't even get one through a fair representation of one menu.

I've heard that there is a blog on the Internet solely devoted to DR Laura's massive calf muscles.

complete with photos and interviews

When listening to the aforementioned CD, it reminded me a lot of "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," which I love.

Clint Eastwood is looking kind of frail.

And was there really a need for Clint to be talking to a chair?

exactly!

Today after seeing Die Mommie Die  my friends and I stopped into a local  diner (one of three within a mile of the theatre)

One friend had a beer and a sliced steak with melted mozzarella on a toasted garlic hero, his wife had a salad with balsamic  and broiled shrimp scampi and soda  while I had  coffee and walnut encrusted french toast with maple butter

When I listened to Bridges of Madison County CD one thing that really bugged me was the total mispronunciation of Osceola Iowa.  It wasn't like she was using an accent, it was just plain wrong.   I got over that but then burst out laughing at the lyric that he went from Minnesota around Lake Superior to get to Des Moines.  That would be like Ginny going to NYC via Sioux City.

During the song, Neil, as Hedwig, kissed a man in the audience...it was his real husband. ;D

Hedwig - never saw it on stage but absolutely HATED the movie.  Neil Patrick Harris looked good and I'm sure he or Jefferson Mays will win the award, although I'd bet Mr. Harris just because.  And these children in the second balcony who are behaving like they're watching American Idol - either that, or someone is pushing a "shriek" button.

Don't you think if you are going to work with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, you would learn how to say Oregon?

I had a nice big salad already to dress for dinner.

Where did you hang the carrots?

They were the earrings.
