TOD:

I'm torn.  No, it's true.

I'd either love a 5-BR, 4 1/2-bath luxury unit at The Dakota in NYC, or, barring that,

A Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum.  'Cause I love comfort and performance.  And I'm getting too old to squat down into a convertible sportster and too old to tolerate bumpy rides.

From DR Cilla:
Quote
Well, in all fairness, his flight on the way up was cancelled.  For the return flight, he was sitting at my brother's house and looked at his ticket and noticed that his flight was leaving in an hour an 20 minutes, from an airport an hour and a half away.  Not going to make that one.

;D  Good thing he noticed before leaving for the airport.

When I was in Pittsburgh helping Craig after he moved home from Romania I had the wrong day.  Fortunately Keith realized in time for me to change my flight, which was fine as I needed two extra days and not simply the one I already thought I had.

DR Elmo:  I have felt your sorrow at the loss of your friendship.  I recall a "recent" (this year?) meet-up you had with your goddaughter.  Is it safe to consider that relationship to be intact and unaffected by the rest of whatever has happened?

I thank those of you for the vibes and good wishes. I'm actually quite good.

I suppose the discussion for the keys to be left was more difficult.  I'm relieved you are good & hope you still are after the keys have been collected.

TOD:
I'd finally get a smartphone. I have a pay-as-you-go flip phone, which I barely use. People keep asking me to text them information and it's pretty embarrassing to say that I don't know how. And it gets more embarrassing every year.

She was never a particular favorite of mine, but I usually liked seeing her in her roles.  She was also the aunt of a long-time friend of mine, Anne Swanson.....

Martha also at one time owned and beautiful William Krisel-designed home in the Hollywood Hills.  She was also an avid collector of art.  TOD:  I would like to own this house.

Jennifer, I'm sure the letter was written when they said it was, just as I'm sure it was never sent, just as I'm sure it was written two weeks after the stuff began, just as I'm sure it was written because I'd met with someone who'd called them and told them I was really annoyed at not having been apprised of what was going on.  In fact, I have it from one person at least who told me specifically she'd been told she could not talk to me about anything.

BK, the letter debacle. Oy. I mean really, "Oh, we sent it twice and one needs signature"? Bet they didn't give you a tracking number as proof.

Sounds like someone was afraid to send it, or someone kept not giving approval to send it after it was written, lest they paint themselves guilty as charged. I do hope this resolves swiftly for you, honoring your true side of the story.

I'm with you on City of Angels. Always loved the music and the show, and have lots of friends in the one night event. On the fence about going because of the way that group has treated me along the way.

Here is a new real estate tactic that is generating some buzz (positive and negative). Video "sales clips" intended to move high-end real estate. They're selling a "lifestyle," not a house. In this case, the attractive couple featured in the sales video are the actual sales agent and his wife. The property they're selling is a 2 million dollar condo in the heart of Minneapolis:

And HERE is the inevitable parody - quite funny:
