Well, you've read the notes, the notes danced and had both five and seven veils, and now it is time for you to post until the veiled cows come home.

T.O.D.

I asked this the other day , but didn't get an answer.

Wouldn't you consider "Twin Soliloquies" to be the I Want song in SOUTH PACIFIC?

"Twin Soliloquies" was an I Want song before the invention of the I Want song. :)

And now I must go to bed.  Today is going to be a day.  I have to be at work early because I'm on the hiring committee to hire the replacement of one of our selectors who just retired.  We have to get through eight, count 'em, EIGHT Skype interviews, starting at 10:00 am.  They'll be a half-hour each with 15 minutes in between.  We will have a lunch break, but still I've never Skyped before.  Fortunately, I just have to sit there, take notes, and possibly ask a (prepared) question or two.

I hope we get someone really good!

well i am glad the poop didn't hit the fan yesterday or the bathrooms would have been biohazard areas.
It was bad enough where it did end up going.

I really admire people who are plumbers and can work in poop. The aroma doesn't seem to bother them. For me I just want to gag.

I washed the affected area with lemon scented bleach.

fingers crossed that this will never happen again.

I'm glad it was my day off when it happened.

Yesterday's word was Ambrosia.

I forgot to post the lyrics to this song by the sadly missed writing team

AMBROSIA SALAD

Music by Hinky Meltz Lyrics by Ernest Ernest

The world is moving too fast
And so are the songs they play.
They’re manic and antic
They’re making me frantic
They’re none too romantic
Or gay…
So, it’s time to be gentle
And yes, sentimental
It’s time for a ballad
Like Ambrosia Salad…

Life can be sweet
Like Ambrosia Salad
Like when you eat
Some Ambrosia Salad
You feel very fruity and fine
And your life is whipped cream and divine

Life can be grand
Like Ambrosia Salad
Fresh fruit or canned
In Ambrosia Salad
But whether it’s fresh or it’s canned
With a cherry life’s not very bland.

You’ll find in Ambrosia
A tiny marshmallow
That makes you feel mellow and gooey.
When you eat Ambrosia
You look at the bad things in life
And you simply say phooey.

And
Life is a treat
Like Ambrosia Salad
Life is complete
Like Ambrosia Salad
It’s filled with those flavors that burst
And life is the best not the worst -
So, when you feel cursed
When you’re feeling sub-par
Just know that Ambrosia’s not very far
Away…
So make life an Ambrosia Salad
Today.

Well DR ELMORE, don't feel too bad.  There is a typo on Page Two of the TWO ROADS sheet music.  I only mention it because no one else has.

Good morning, all.

A strange night -- one that began not too warm but very muggy, and ended quite cool, with a couple of bizarre dreams to keep things interesting.  Overall, the sleep was okay, but I really could have done without the dream in which for some reason I had to fake being able, and prepared, to sing in this quartet or quintet in some kind of major contest.  Yessirree, I really could have done without that one.  Thank goodness for having to pee and adjust sheets and blankets at 5:30 in the morning, or I might still be trapped in it.

Coffee!

We watched HER last night, and neither my wife nor I really liked it.  (I won't go into the reasons.)

However, the movie contained one line of dialogue that I loved:

"The past is just a story that we tell ourselves."

I did a book trailer for my friend, Diane McBain.  The title of her memoir is FAMOUS ENOUGH.

Good morning, all! I've been delayed with too many emails of needless tsuris from Philadelphia.  I will be spending a god deal of time tomorrow or Friday at the NYPL Theatre Collection, hopefully uncovering things to refute email issues.

I saw my super this morning, and he says he will get to the bathroom tomorrow or Friday. If he does nt, I will contact the apartment management on Monday, which will be three months and two days since the ceiling fell in, and ask them to bring in a crew to finish it since the super's got too much work on his hands. I like him and do not want to cause him problems, but I want the damned ceiling repaired and everything in my living space back where it belongs.

DR vixmom, god news about your father-in-law!

DR JRand63, vibes for tonight's show!

Hmmmm...5 veils....

How about "5 Brides for 5 Brothers"?

And why did they need "7 Days in May"?  Wouldn't "5 Days in May" have been sufficient?

And why did Dr. Lao need 7 faces?  Three would not have been enough? Four?

Come to think of it, why can't there be a new TV series entitled "75 Sunset Strip"?
