So I decided that I didn't want the lawn service to spray chemicals in my yard anymore.  I wrote an email to their website May 30 and asked to cancel, they sprayed on May 31.   I wrote again on June 9 asking them to stop...they sprayed pesticide on June 10.  I wrote another letter last night and left a message that wasn't very pleasant.  Today I called them and threatened a restraining order and told them that if one of their people come on my yard I will call the police and report them for trespassing. The man said they have cancelled me and won't be back. 

The weed killer they sprayed after I asked them to stop killed the weeds where the baby bunnies were and I think that's why the cat found them. 

Anyway, we're taking bets on whether they will be back.  They have a reputation for not stopping. 

If you don't pay them, I would think they would cease and desist.

They have a reputation for doing this, then they keep billing.  They are great until you decide you don't want them anymore.  I know people who have stopped paying and they didn't stop

Sounds like our local newspaper.  We finally had to remove the paper box so they couldn't deliver it. 

I cancelled the Sunday paper two months ago and it's still delivered every week.  Haven't gotten a bill

Good grief!  How long have you been waiting?

Two hours now. Another 1:30 at least to go.

And where are you?  I always travel with a long book. I can never find anything in an airport book store or newsstand.

And now I must go to bed.  Today is going to be a day.  I have to be at work early because I'm on the hiring committee to hire the replacement of one of our selectors who just retired.  We have to get through eight, count 'em, EIGHT Skype interviews, starting at 10:00 am.  They'll be a half-hour each with 15 minutes in between.  We will have a lunch break, but still I've never Skyped before.  Fortunately, I just have to sit there, take notes, and possibly ask a (prepared) question or two.

I hope we get someone really good!

Well, today we had our eight, count 'em, eight Skype interviews for the position that's being hired at my work.  I only had to ask one question of each candidate, although there were eight questions total.  At first, based only on the applications, there was one that seemed ahead of the pack, but during the interviews, that one and another were well ahead of the other six.

We decided to have live interviews with those two and one more, who is an internal candidate.  She (no spoilers there...all eight candidates were women) doesn't have the specific selection experience, but she has great knowledge of the collection, in general.  So, we'll see what happens next!

Barring any conflicts from the candidates, the live interviews will be scheduled for June 30th.

Finished with my viewing.  I'm so far beyond tired it's not even funny.  And yet I just laughed and laughed and just when I thought I could laugh no more, I laughed again.
