I, on the other hand, had some bacon and eggs and did some errands and whatnot.

I was leery going into it, and fell in love with it. Sawit twice in the Park and twice on Broadway. Go figure!I think ROBERTA's going to be good. After listening a couple of times to it today, I credit the HHW vibes and support for it and the ceiling repair for taking what was okay, maybe a little more than passable, after May's mix to something really special. I'm very grateful.I loved the production of PIRATES when it went to Broadway. I think it had the same cast.

I am going to a party later. I plan to eat, drink, and be Mary, Marry, Merry. The best part is that the party is right next door, so - an easy commute.
Butterfield's was a regular haunt of mine in the 70s - best cream of mushroom soup EVER.
I'll bet attendance would increase if the title of the event were changed to TASTE OF TCB
Listening to Hey, Love now. Enjoying it as always. I should play it more often.

William Shakespeare's Hamburger Hamlet.
I really like that photo, DR TCB!

BerkshireRecordOutlet.com. I thought it was Estelle Parsons on Broadway? It was Patricia Routledge (in the park) and Estelle Parsons (on Broadway). Angela was in the filmed version of that production.Linda Ronstadt starred as Mabel, Rex Smith as Frederic, Kevin Kline as the Pirate King, Patricia Routledge as Ruth (replaced by Estelle Parsons for the Broadway transfer), George Rose as the Major-General, and Tony Azito as the Sergeant of Police. Kline won a Tony Award for his performance. Smith won a Theatre World Award. The Papp production was turned into a film in 1983, with the original Broadway principal cast reprising their roles, except that Angela Lansbury replaced Estelle Parsons as Ruth. The minor roles used British actors miming to their Broadway counterparts. The film has been shown occasionally on television. Another film based loosely on the opera and inspired by the success of the Papp version, The Pirate Movie, was released during the Broadway run.
