Sorry to hear that, Laura. I've encountered the same with some trucks. I tend to watch what other customers get for their money.

Nothing worse than a very small amount of meat on a sandwich.

Today is my Friday, and I am very happy about that!  :D

So...what's on the MBarnum 4-day weekend agenda?

In no particular order of importance:

Sleeping in

Naps

Bollywood movies

Oh, and 4th of July family get together.

I think I have a photo of myself with Don Matheson from a few years ago. I will have to dig it out. He was still quite handsome, as I recall.

Oh, and today's topic reminded me of Allan Sherman's classic "You Went the Wrong Way, Old King Louie:"
That's why the people are revolting, 'cause Louie/ you're pretty/ revolting yourself!

It has got to be better than that "Louie" number from Victor/Victoria!       :P

Anything is better than the Broadway score for Victor/Victoria! Even Frank (ugh!) Wildhorn

Didn't Wildhorn work on that score after Mancini died?

Yes. I was going to write Andrew Lloyd Webber, but i didn't want to offend SR Matthew.

Home from seeing the specialist. I got an X-ray, made an appointment for august, got home, walked the three effen flights since the elevator still had "out of order" signs, got to my flor and the elevator started running. S. H. I. T.

And I waited in 90 degree hear and no shade for 25 minutes for a 104 Broadway bus, neither of the ones due at 1:37 or 1:46 showed up. Color me hot and really crabby.

The upstairs bathroom has a beautiful new floor, but no working toilet.  We've called the plumber to come and tell us whether to use the old one or replace it - any bets on what they'll say?  We'll also have them install the IKEA sink and vanity.

Tune in tomorrow on HGTV!

George - The Ray Jessel in that video from America's Got talent, is the same as this Ray Jessel, who co-wrote I REMEMBER MAMA

http://www.rnh.com/bio/169/Jessel-Raymond

Here's more on him, and his creating a sensation again at age 84.

That's pretty cool!  Thanks for the info, Fred.

That's a beautiful table!  And I loved the other pictures in the article.

Ask BK:   Any hints, or clews, as to the next Kritzerland release?

And a follow-up...any cast album reissues in the foreseeable future?

Banking done, multiple meetings done, with one more to go this afternoon - I was trying not to eat anything until after the afternoon meeting, but I can't hold out that long, so I think I'll go in thirty minutes and have some soup and a sandwich of some sort, or, conversely, some sort of sandwich and some soup.

DR John I hope there was some chuckling over the way the people left the table and that seeing them didn't ruin the evening.  At least they left.

I see my question has already been asked & answered.  I'm glad the evening wasn't ruined.
