Well, you've read the notes, the notes were assembled, and now it is time for you to post until the assembled cows come home.

My sister loved the original "Dune" movie...I think.  I know she loved the books (at least, until Frank Herbert died).  I may have to get "Jodorowski’s Dune" for her birthday in September.  She might be interested...or she might not.  I think it sounds pretty interesting.

BK, about the play-offs that you recorded, what if you offered them as separate MP3 downloads?  When the show, "It's Only Life" was recorded, the transitions were made available as free downloads.  Since you recorded them, it would be a shame to waste them, and they would be nice bonus for those (like me) who like such things. :)

Just a thought.

Wow, DR George - thank you!  I didn't know about these.  Now, if only they told you WHERE these transitions should be inserted in the running order of the CD!      ::)

DR CHAS SMITH - we WERE an independent metaphysical bookstore....selling new books, used books, candles, incense, stones, and assorted other like goodies.  We also offered readings, hypnotism, cleansings, aura photos, and the like.

There are a couple of other stores in the area, so nobody will be left without a resource.....they are newer and better funded than we are, so I have always wished them well.

The metaphysical/wiccan community is so full of jealous, hateful people that there will be much joy that World of Wisdom is no more....and that is what makes me most sad.

Got it.  And sorry to hear about that.  A couple of close friends here would have loved that store.  And I shall pass on to them what you said about the rampant jealousy in the community.  I believe they'll recognize that and be equally sad about it.

In other news...

Good morning, all.

Woke up way too early, but got back to sleep for another two blessed hours, which made all the difference.  And now...

Coffee!

TOD:

I won't go on about barbecue. If you want the real answer, buy the book in a couple of weeks.

But best barbecue: Usually the plate that's in front of me.

Oh yes, the TOD:

What DR John G. said, re the plate in front of me.  Even if it isn't something truly great.  Somehow it all goes down.  With gusto.  And there's never enough.

Just popped a Benadryl.

Probably should have enjoyed one or two over the weekend, but after this morning's couple of sneezing fits, I said "enough is enough!"

Yes, that's exactly what I said.

Relief is on the way.

My stepdaughter lost her house in the Oregon wildfire.

She was able to get her dogs out, but lost her cats and everything else.

So, sad.

Good morning, all! I did not get to therapy today. Last night, the nerve in the heel of my left foot refused to give in to any drugs and kept me up very late with short jabs of pain. So, I was not asleep by midnight, more like somewhere after 1:30.  So, this morning, the 6:00 alarm didn't ring, and I slept until 9:15 or so, called therapy and apologized, and went back to bed.

So, this day bodes bad, but I hope not.  I may visit with my friend Arlo later; I want to hear how his Frank Loesser show went, and i can always continue the apartment clean up.

Bruce:  I re-read your notes about "The Time Machine" and have to say I agree with you...wholly.   Not only wholly, but wholly wholly.

It looks absolutely amazing on Blu ray.  The funniest thing, though:  I had read the BluRay.com review of the movie in which the reviewer employed a curious use of damnation amidst faint praise, all the while posting screen caps to make his points about how the film looks.  Strange thing in this case:  The screen caps looked absolutely wonderful and vibrant and totally belied the reviewer's comments.

Ah, well.
