Thanks, DR Jeanne!

All would be complete if I could just find full-time employment.

And today's devastating news: Morgan, my walking therapist, is leaving Manhattan. Her husband has taken a job with a law firm in Laredo, TX, and they leave in a month. I am very sorry to know this.

Bummer, I'm sorry.  Vibes you find someone you like just as much!!!!!

I hope the therapy place finds someone as wonderful as Morgan. I'm not looking.

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That's too bad, Larry!  Hope they find another really good one.

I just finished reading Longbourn, which was quite wonderful and very moving. I guess I'm back to Thomas and Charlotte Pitt mysteries.

I am now reading two books at once, but only because I checked out the second book from my regular library.  It has small dark print so I can only read "One Sunny Day: A Child's Memories of Hiroshima" while I'm at home and during the day.

Laredo? Border problems going on there.

Happy Monday, all!

I was about to call in my reservation for the new Kritzerland show at the Federal this morning when I got an email from the writer of the vampire musical, the one I did a reading of in May. She had asked me recently to do another reading of it, and my first instinct was to say no. My part especially does not work, even though I get a pretty song which I have to sing twice. But I said yes, because she paid much more than most readings last time and I can't afford to turn this kind of thing down right now. Damn, I need to win the fricken lottery.  :D

Anyhoo, I get the rehearsal schedule: first full read through, Sunday night, Aug. 3rd (the night of the Kritzerland show) at 8:30PM. Really? Oy! Let's have a more inconvenient time - like 3AM!   ::)

I may try and make the Kritzerland show anyway, and go to rehearsal late, since they are in the same neighborhood. The read-through might go better with a couple of drinks in me.  :D

Now I should go and look at a list of which musical were 20th Century Fox.  :)

Good on the pay. Good luck on the lottery.

I was not feeling well earlier today, so I left work early, a first for me, even after the surgery. I came home and in the mail was the first copy of the book.
I said, "That's nice" and slept for three hours.

I'm up now, don't feel a whole lot better, but I have had a chance to look at the book. It's somewhat different from the proofs that we'd received. We had asked for them to include a couple of pictures of barbecuers that we had really liked, just two. They went back and inserted about 10 more photos, rearranged things, laid it out differently.

I wonder if that's why the publication date has been pushed back two weeks.

I chuckled at "that's nice" and you went to sleep.  Obviously you needed to sleep.  Are you disappointed with the book or not feeling that great to decide how you feel about it?

Richard and I went to see MR. PEABODY AND SHERMAN this afternoon, did some shopping, and had dinner at Panera.  That gave Rob and Mary Linda a little time to themselves here before he has to go to work at midnight.  He's napping now while she paints in the other room.

They didn't when he was in paramedic school and doing clinicals at all hours.  He will probably leave tonight about the time we're going to bed and get home after we get up in the morning.
