Bacon flavored Ritz Crackers.

Strike vibes for DR GEORGE.

I am hoping we get to see Dog Pictures from the party that DR SINGDAW's dog is attending this evening.

I can't stick around here all day - I have to go buy Chicken in a Biskit

I ate one once and did not like it at all.

But you don't eat chicken. Why would you try one?

Three times in the past two days when I have tried to type Ritz Crackers, I have typed Titz Crackers.....it must be the Banjo coming out in me already.

DR John G., I first read that as "depending on how many servants you put in the sauce".  Well, that might make a difference, too.

While scanning the obituaries this morning, looking for my name; I came across this unusual opening to this obit..  (I changed the man's name to John Doe.)

John Doe 1923 - 2014 John Doe was born 90 years ago on November 4, 1923 in Centerville, Iowa. His mother Beatrice preceded him in death

If this man was 90 years old, wouldn't it go without saying that mom had already passed away.  And are we to believe that dad is still with us?

Maybe his father is unknown.

Well, I tend to keep the servants out of the sauce, because, well, I want them sober. ;)

I'll make this prediction right now - Mr. Confidential will never be on Broadway, and I think I'd be safe to say it will never even be off-Broadway.  And I don't need to see it to make that prediction.

May I ask you why you are making the prediction? Is it the subject matter?

Because a hundred other shows have gotten the exact same reaction and go nowhere - it's the nature of things.  We didn't expect The Brain to go to B'way, you know.  Nor off-B'way, for that matter.  I know nothing about the show itself and really have no interest in it at all.

I try not to wear red when I'm cooking. Maybe something in a more calming black or green.

Vixmom, I hope that favorite IHOP is one of those in the original A-frame buildings.

Wonderful, Wonderful!    :)

Speaking of pancakes, I had bacon pancakes for breakfast yesterday. The bacon was merely crumbled over the top of three fluffy cakes with plenty of vanilla in them. Add butter and syrup -- and voila. A happy start to the day.

Lies about caramelized onions (they might take longer than you think):

Interesting.  A correct recipe would have been simple to include here, not that I need one.

No, you just melt the caramels in a double-boiler, and then stir in the onions.

The nearby park can accommodate plenty. My house is too dirty at the moment for guests.

I like TCB's solution. But I would use olive oil.

I've started watching Saving Mr. Banks. Emma Thompson is wonderful, but the character is so off-putting that I don't know if I''m enjoying it.
