I am not sure if I would know if a movie I was watching was being shown in the incorrect ratio. Or would I?

How does one even know what the correct ratio is just by looking?

Ration sounds too much like math, so therefore it is over my head.

And that's okay, because it made me stop and think that I forgot to thank DR Laura for the info on South Mountain yesterday. I had no idea it was right there in town, or "in town", because I'd always pictured you living in some outlying area, perhaps the far edge of a suburb which would put you close to some hills. Well, I've never been to Phoenix so what do I know? I'll answer that: nothing! The closest I ever got to Phoenix was landing once at Wickenburg, a small town some 30 miles (?) northwest of there.

There are mountains all around us here in Phoenix.

I climbed Camelback once. It was very crowded and very steep. There is a reason they do so many helicopter rescues there. I don't want to be one of them.

That is great you can call your brother's assistant if you need to. Hospitals use a service they can call for a translator. I wonder if you can also do that on a need to use basis.

Yes but it's very expensive. I'm not as good as I think I am, lol. Today a cook from Kentucky Fried came into my office, when I couldn't understand everything he was saying he gave me a lecture about how important it is for me to have someone there who speaks Spanish. I understood all of that, lol

I realized this morning that I need to not try to do everything. I've been answering all the phone calls and trying to keep everything up, but I really have to stop doing that and just retrieve the messages and return calls. I'm also going to keep the front door locked. I have plenty of work to do and there are no appointments scheduled until Monday. Everyone can just wait. I'm not going to let myself get any more overwhelmed than I have to. I started feeling that way so I came home for lunch and decided to just relax a bit. It was a good choice

I did spend about 1 hour on the phone with someone I REALLY wanted as a reference. She said yes and gave me some very good advice. Now I just need one or two more references and I'll be ready to send in my application The reference is a real ground breaker for females in the legal field in Iowa.

Hey, Mikey! Visit The Widescreen Museum where you can see pictures that differentiate between proper ratio and pan-and-scan, etc.

It's very illuminating.

I am off now to take photos for the LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS slide show and teach the trio how to do their makeup.

Their wigs should be here by the end of the week, so all is well. I shall also try to watch a bit of the show.....my fingers are crossed that it is good.

Time will tell....

AND tonight FOUR dancers will be leaving on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and SHARKNADO 2 is on the SyFy Network.....

DR Jennifer, thank you for posting those Kindle mysteries that were on sale at Amazon for $1.99. I purchased THE TITANIC MURDERS. It was a very clever story using real mystery writer Jacques Futrelle (who actually died onboard the Titanic) as the writer who is drawn by Captain Smith and Bruce Ismay into solving a real murder on the ship's maiden voyage. I bought a second book by the same author titled THE LUSITANIA MURDERS. I am not sure how that one is going to work.

Pan and Scan I can recognized, but 1:66 vs 1:85, I have no clue about. Nor even a clew. I will check it out!
