I had a POLARIOD SWINGER CAMERA when I was a young lass.

I loved it!

MEET THE SWINGER,
POLAROID SWINGER,
MEET THE SWINGER,
POLAROID SWINGER,

IT'S MORE THAN A CAMERA,
IT'S ALMOST ALIVE,
IT'S ONLY $19.95!

Yes.  Either that, or he was re-creating Phantom of the Opera at home.

Character actor Charles Keating

Along with DR elmore3003, I knew Mr. Keating, too.  He was one of five actors from the Royal Shakespeare Company that came to my college campus for a semester-long residency. I was Puck in a scene from A Midsummer Night's Dream that he coached, and I also appeared in a montage theatre evening that they put together using Shakespeare and music. What fun, happy memories!

He was also Oscar Wilde's ghost in Flaherty and Ahrens' A Man of No Importance.

I remember Keating from early years at The Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis. I saw him in the 1986 production of Loot. Friends at the time were producers (along with David Merrick) of the show.

A lovely, simple performance of "Bring Him Home" by Ramin Karimloo, if you can stand to hear the song yet one more time:

I love this.

This story is too wack to describe. No synopsis could do it justice.

Yesterday I made a couple of tuna sandwiches.  Unfortunately, I didn't have any of the ingredients, so they weren't very filling.

You made them just the way I like them.

A few days ago I mentioned, in passing, getting an e-mail regarding a close-out on the 2012 Fords.  I thought that was very weird, but some people offered suggestions of what it might mean.

Well, this morning I got another e-mail from the same company that pushes it right into the Twilight Zone.

"Start 2013 in a New Ford Vehicle"

Seriously, don't you think that is really weird??

Did it come with a chance to start that time period all over again?

I wouldn't mind a Pisa cake.

Hope it all works out the way you want it to, DR Elmore!

All I want is for the NY State government not to drag me off to jail for evasion.

Well, I don't know, meals are included.

Charles Keating looks very familiar.  What role did he play on ANOTHER WORLD?

Women or men shaving their privates is, for me, completely nauseating on every level.  But then, you knew that.

He was married to Rachael (Victoria Wyndham) after Mac (Douglas Watson) died.

T.O.D.

My Aunt Ruth always had every new gadget that came along.  She had one of the first remote control televisions, it was still attached to the TV with a cord.  She, of course, had the first Polaroid camera that I had ever seen.  I remember all the steps you had to take after the photo came out of the camera.  I remember she yelled at me because I picked up one of the pictures before it had completely dried.

Naturally, I had to have a Polaroid camera.  Over the years, I had several, starting with the Swinger.  The last Polaroid camera I had was very nice, except the photos were about the size of a book of stamps.  The best instant camera I ever had was the Kodak Instant.  That was a great camera.

DR TCB one Christmas, a couple of years after we lived here, Craig asked me why I sent him an email about a card we had received when he was in the next room.  After a long pause I realized he was referring to an email I had sent the previous year.

I have this medical deferment from jury duty in September, but i can find nothing on the cockamamie summons - and there are phone numbers, web pages, and a lot of other crap - about what to do with a letter from one's doctor. The web page tells me to go to my country for further information. And there is nothing helpful there. I am very frustrated.

I'd call the phone number and ask.

I wrote a cover letter and enclosed it with my jury duty summons and doctor's letter. I'll send it by priority mail this week and hope it gets where it should go.

That should do it

There are no humans at the other end; all press this for that, enter dates you can serve, only push button info.

Good morning, all.

Weird morning so far. Boss is sharing stories of how his chandelier came crashing down into the dining room table at 5:55 this morning before anyone was awake. And only he, the cat and the dog went to investigate. Cat and dog, however, were not going into the room until Mike did.

Ghosts. Plain and simple.

That's why the cat and dog wouldn't go in there!
