A Broadway ballad for a baritone. Surely we can come up with some suggestions...

Are there any Guy Haines songs that might work?

More nice weather tomorrow in the DC area.  This has been such an unusual summer, with many days with low humidity and temps in the 80's (instead of 90's or even 100).

Thursday afternoon greetings!  Richard and I were up and out early (for us) for him to have X-rays and an EMG to find the cause of the numbness and tingling he's been having in his right hand.  The doctor who performed the EMG suspects carpal tunnel syndrome and we're awaiting confirmation from our family doctor.  Richard's fine and is now in the backyard supervising the removal of yet another tree  :-\

Much like Keith's symptoms only with a different cause.  I hope it can be treated without surgery.

Actually I have had similar problems, long before Keith did, that I have not found the cause.  Maybe I should look for it again.

This morning's doc thought surgery would be recommended, but we'll see what our family doctor says.  He'll probably make a referral to a specialist.

When I had carpal tunnel syndrome around 1983, i wore a wrist brace and had steroid injections,

When I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel, I had to take Celebrex, which made me spacier and flattened my vision. I almost ran a red light because the one beyond the light I was at had turned green. No depth perception at all. And it didn't help.

So I went to a hospital-related massage therapy place. The woman who ran it gave me the deepest tissue massage imaginable on the back of my neck. I was in intense pain for three days and slept most of the time. When the pain went, so did the carpal tunnel.

Just spent the last 90 minutes interviewing Luca Della Casa. Now he's feeding me. There are worse things in life.

Neither had the doctor, who forced me to sign a release form saying the drugs had done the trick. But it worked for me. She said all the tense nerves at the base of the neck were preventing optimal blood flow to the rest of the body.

Wait, you were forced by the doctor to sign a form saying the drugs cured you!  Is that even legal?

What is it with people you do not know sending FB friend requests and offering no explanation as to why they sent it?

FB used to offer a box where you could send a comment along with your friend request, but unless I am missing it, they no longer do. That is a change for the worse, in my humble opinion.

They still ask that question, but it comes up after you decline the friend request.  When you say you don't know them, you get a message telling you that this person will not be allowed to request to be your friend again.

Sometimes A Day Goes By

Too bad you don't need a duet.  You could do "I Don't Remember You"/"Sometimes a Day Goes By" from AND THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND.

DR John G, I passed your carpal tunnel comments along to Richard.  I'm sure he'll get lots of advice in the next week before his appointment with our family doctor.

We've done She Touched Me several times, including our last anniversary show - I think I found it as I was doing my mile and a half jog - one of my all-time favorite songs and the opening number of the second Guy Haines album - On Your Toes.  And it comes with a really funny story, so that's a perfect second song.

I would suggest "Laura," but I don't think you've done it on any CDs. Yet.
