Time to go get my hair cut and buy some interview appropriate shoes.   Haven't put on a pair of black pumps in a long time, just discovered the ones I have are really uncomfortable

While I think cardiac patients have no business pouring ice water on their heads, I did make a donation of ALS in memory of this friend of ours (and DR Elmore's) who we lost too, too soon:

Happy Sunday to everyone!  We have a really interesting interview on the new edition of The Broadway Radio Show.  I chat with musician/composer Michael Sobie, who has toured with shows like Wicked, Les Miserables, Aida, and Xanadu and is currently working on a new musical called The Pines.  It's a fun interview; so, check it out!

Up from a nap. Now, I've got work to do and would just rather sleep.

You don't want to be thinking your feet hurt during the interview.

I'm glad you did not dump ice water on you.   I watched one person who did it in the comfort of a hot tub and I bet the ice he added to his water went into the warm tub water.  Clever guy.

For closed captioning, I used the "subtitle" button on my Blu-ray player remote - that's how I get to Netflix, through the player - but I also think when I pause the image there may be an audio options thing on the pause timeline.

You have streaming vs a DVD?

I looked up HAPPY VALLEY.  It looks like something my brother would enjoy, if he hasn't already seen it.  I hope he hasn't as it is rare I can find an author or show to suggest to him.

I stay out of hot tubs, too, DR Jane.  Avoiding extremes...

Listening to a new master for an upcoming project.  We should have something ready to release but maybe not in a week, depending on approvals.

I'm not a fan of them either.  When I first began using the pool at the Y I found the hot whirlpool tub therapeutic for my shoulder and body but I had to be extremely careful getting out as I was always dizzy.  I stopped using it as soon as possible.

Good morning, all! Today, the depression won and I couldn't get out of bed when the alarm rang.  I forced myself out of bed around 9:30. I did not get to Toyland as I wanted, so I'll go on Tuesday.

I'll finish up the Moross work, send off an invoice, and try to keep myself occupied. I hate this situation.

And now, I'm off to work concessions for Songs for a New World.  After that, I'm going to my sister's for freshly made crepes and left-over birthday cake from my dad's birthday (I had to leave early because of the final rehearsal for "An Improbable Peck of Plays 3D").

Be back later!

Sing, I'm sorry to hear about your allergies. I haven't had allergy shots, but would suggest you try something that would provide relief sooner. If you were still in the NYC area I'd suggest you go to Willner Chemists. They have a NY Mix, specifically for the pollens in that area. Since you are now in Minnesota, I'd recommend

--vitamin C, stinging nettles, quercetin, and MSM, as noted in PRESCRIPTION FOR NATURAL CURES by Balch and Stengler, a reference I use often

--a homeopathic approach, with or without the above. If you don't have a homeopath in your area you could try Lia Bello, who was very helpful with a friend's son's issues. Her prices are reasonable and she treats over the phone. (She's in Santa Fe, NM)

http://www.homeopathicare.org/

There are also a number of combination remedies available at health food stores. Some of these can be quite helpful and are inexpensive (under $10), but you have to find the one that works for you.

I went to an allergist for a while, but he prescribed three prescription drugs, one of which was a steroid, and I can't say I felt any better. I did, however, have uncomfortable side effects. I then switched to homeopathy, which was more effective and had zero side effects.

Hope you find relief soon!

Back from services at two different churches, a lunch out, and a tenor/lute Dowland recital.  Whew!

Too hot and humid today to go to the State Fair.  Not enough energy, anyway.

DR SINGDAW the recipe from DR JEANNE is very good.....and if you want to start small, you can try a Stinging Nettles tea made directly from the herb....available in most natural herb stores...as it USED to be at World of Wisdom.
