For closed captioning, I used the "subtitle" button on my Blu-ray player remote - that's how I get to Netflix, through the player -

Cool! I will have to try that, as well. Never occurred to me!

Oh, that must have been beautiful, DR Jane!

It was and the walk as we headed out was sunny and beautiful without too much wind.  Bandon is known for the wind there.

I took one photo.  I wish we could have carried some of this driftwood back to the hotel.

The photos come out so grainy when I transfer them.  I'm not very good at this.

DR TCB I hope you are out having a belated birthday celebration.

Yes, enough of this one-day birthday nonsense! A person needs an entire week, at least!

Or a season!  This is my birthday season!.   Why not, they already have Halloween candy out and it's only August

Yup, I was happy.

This photo was taken as we walked with the wind to our backs.  Returning into the fog and wind I could not keep that hat on, even with my hood up.

The path we took to the beach is behind the fence so this guy greeted us on our way in and again as we left.

And now, I'm off to work concessions for Songs for a New World.  After that, I'm going to my sister's for freshly made crepes and left-over birthday cake from my dad's birthday (I had to leave early because of the final rehearsal for "An Improbable Peck of Plays 3D").

Be back later!

Enjoy. Let us know how the performances are.

I'm home.  Songs for a New World was quite good!  My friend Troy directed and music directed and played the on-stage piano.  It was his "Kids in Koncert" youth choir and they put on a good show.  There were actually 14 kids (12 girls and 2 boys), up to 20 years of age.  The youngest looked maybe 10 or so.  The older singers really knew how to belt, and they sang quite well.  Overall, a very good production and I'm glad I went. :)

After the concert, I went to my sister's and she made some crepes.  They were very good, too.  I also got a piece of my dad's birthday cake (which I actually brought home and will have later).  It's one of those dump cakes where you just dump a can of orange slices and something else into a box cake mix, and bake it.  The frosting is Cool Whip and a can of pineapples and (I think) pudding mix.  After that, I went to Eagan's, a local hamburger joint for dinner.  The crepes were the only things that I'd had to eat all day, and they weren't enough.  I'm now home, ketchuping on posts and as soon as I'm done with that, I'm going to watch the season premiere of "Doctor Who."

I watched Elaine Stritch At Liberty tonight. I missed it live and never watched the DVD until tonight.  She was amazing, and I loved the stories.  I only worked with her three times, and it saddens me knowing there will never be a fourth.

Had a lovely time at my friend's tea party.  She turns 65 on Wednesday and gathered 20 of her special friends today to celebrate.  Enjoyed the ride to Cincinnati and back with Sharon and Sondra, especially since Sharon was driving.
