TOD:  from Funny Girl:  "The Swan"     I thought Barbra was singing "I saw a chicken like ballet," instead of "I saw a Chicken Lake ballet"

And does she sing "Finally got a guy to marry me" or "Finally got a goy to marry me"?

Topic of the Day:  one of several YouTube videos of misheard lyrics to Carmina Burana.

In keeping with today's TOD:

I have posted this video clip before, but it is a prime example of misheard lyrics:

Any of the people here who backed Herringbone on Kickstarter - has there been any notification from anyone about the new delay, that the album won't be coming out Sept. 8?

I haven't gotten anything, nor have I heard anything about this latest delay. :-\ I pledged $50 and am supposed to get "One AUTOGRAPHED advance copy of the HERRINGBONE LIVE CONCERT CD in a gorgeous six-panel digipak designed by ASAF SHAKHAM (as soon as it's available)!"  I don't know if each pledge level is also supposed to get all the items below it, but I would at least like the autographed (physical) CD.

Stumble-through was really great - very few notes this time around.

Granville has soft-opened - it's replaced The Good Earth just a couple of blocks from the home environment.  So, I went - they're still figuring things out.  But, as always, the sheep of Studio City, who never heard of Granville but needing a new, hip place to call their own - after all, after two months I'm sure they've tired of Lemonade - have descended on this jernt.  At four-thirty.

And on that note (F#), I'm going to the theater.  I came into work and worked the time I needed to make up, so I'm all set there, but the theater isn't open yet, so I'll just go home for a little nap, then I'll go to the theater.

Until later!

Our DVR recorded an episode of The Flip Wilson Show, guest starring Joan Rivers.  It first aired in 1971!

Thank you thank you the patented HHW vibes have done their job. The car keys remain elusive but a spare set was located at some point. I came home from shopping to find the vixters car gone (she walked to and from her jib at the roadhouse today) but managed to drive to the  church sexton job

How far a walk is it?

I'm glad the spare set was found.

The roadhouse is less than a mile from here

DR vixmom - it's strange; most churches that I know on the east coast are having their "kickoff" Sundays this Sunday. Around here, on the other hand, most seem to be holding off until 9/14.

we have always had ours the Sunday after the schools open , this is also the first day of Sunday School for the year

Project Update #10: A LAUNCH DATE!
Posted by BD WONG ♥ Like

Dear Friends,

Mike Croiter at YELLOW SOUND LABEL and I are happy to announce to you guys first that the LIVE HERRINGBONE RECORDING will launch on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2014.

This will allow me to finish up the final design elements around my schedule doing the play in San Francisco and La Jolla, and Jurassic Park 4 in New Orleans, all this summer.

(This co-production will immediately go down to La Jolla Playhouse after it's run at ACT).

We are all really proud of the Herringbone project and have all been looking forward to this event.

There will be more details to come.

I am ever thankful for your patience and support.

Love, BDW
