Haven't heard the whole new And the World Goes Round CD yet, but what I have listened to so far sounds fantastic. I listened to the original first to refresh my memory. So far, I like the new recording much better.

I didn't think to bring out my original recording, but I'm listening to the new recording right now!

I just realized that it's been quite a while since I listened to the original.  I love these songs...and the new ones!  Thanks for recording the whole score, BK...AND the play-offs!!

You can't hear or sense any behind-the-scenes drama. It's joyous.

DR JOHN G is correct....it is joyous.

And it is great to have this recording to give people to listen to.....if you want to do a production....the other recording, not so much.

I would guess that there will be an uptick in the licensing!

DR elmore I think I know why the old man panicked in the elevator.  My friend just spent half an hour trapped in one and she was afraid the elevator would drop.  Once she, and a nice gentleman that kept her entertained, were rescued it was explained to them there are safety measures to prevent the elevator from falling.  They had to climb up a ladder to reach their exit floor.

Hi Dear Readers -- Hope You All Had A Nice Day!

OY, did my day start out crazy -- there was a mouse in my office!  I was working on a bank reconciliation and I see something move from my peripheral vision.  I take a double take. 

OMG, it's a mouse.  A HUGE mouse -- okay, not really huge, but even a tiny mouse is a MOUSE!  Three grown men were unable to catch said mouse.  So, now I have four mouse traps laced with peanut butter in my small office.

BTW, I did have my feet high up off the ground all day!  I so wanted to get up on a chair and scream like a school girl!  LOL

After that escapade -- I could go for a cup of chocolate peanut butter ice cream! 

Now, to catch up on all the notes!

Oh Goodness, a few years back -- I worked with two women who constantly spoke like that.  It was "I seen this and I seen that" all day long!  Drove me nuts!

But I've taken tomorrow off. The annual Latin Flavors, America's Kitchens, which draws chefs from all over South and Central America to the culinary school in town is happening.

It's one of my favorite days of the year.

I now wish I had the original recording here, to listen to first to refresh my memory, then enjoy BK's all the more when it arrives.  But I think now I had only a borrowed copy for a while, which I long ago returned.  And I don't really feel like buying it again right now.

I'm back from GONE WITH THE WIND.  My friends and I had already agreed that we would probably only stay to enjoy "Act 1" on the big screen, then split.  (We'd all watched it straight through just a few months ago.)  And that's what we did. 

It was very enjoyable, but my one criticism about these vintage movie showings is that -- as good as the picture (usually) looks -- they need to crank their volume settings way up from the normal ones which are set for today's bullsh action/sci-fi movies.  I felt this especially when seeing WHITE CHRISTMAS there, and I absolutely guarantee you that GWTW would have a greater impact -- in a good way -- with a sound level as filling and satisfying as the picture is.

I've spoken to my friend the manager there about this in the past, and while he sort of gets it and has adjusted it upward a little bit at times ..... he doesn't totally get it.  Not yet.  I'll keep working on it.
