Nope not programs DR CHAS SMITH.....pantry staples.....although I am still using the hand stapler that I found in my desk when I went to work at the Indiana School for the Deaf, and nobody knew whose it was....so it's mine now.....28 years later.....I took it with me to the Society of Professional Journalists and then to the Indiana Dept. Of Labor.

I am home from City Center. I saw several folk I had not seen in some time and that was nice. And now, to PAINT YOUR WAGON.

Glad to hear that, DR JRand!  The long-abandoned Dillard's store in our pitiful mall is being transformed into a Burlington Coat Factory.

Roberta has arrived, direct from New World Records, as well as the new 2014 Miss Saigon (but I got that from Amazon.co.uk)!

"Miss Saigon" has a "Parental Advisory Explicit Content" sticker.  It's rare to see that on a musical cast recording.

My first time shopping there DR GINNY, and I enjoyed it very much.  I even did the online survey and entered the sweepstakes for a $1000 shopping spree.

DR George, it came from New World, not Amazon?

Yes, I ordered it directly from New World last week.  They were pretty close in price when you took shipping or tax into consideration. :)

DR Jennifer -

It can be found in the quotation below all of DR Laura's posts - always required reading, as it frequently changes, and is always entertaining!      ;D

Geoffrey Holder has died. Makes me want to play "Two Ladies in de Shade of de Banana Tree" in his memory.

He was 84.  I think I first heard of him from the 7-Up commercials, then in "Doctor Dolittle."

This link also includes the uncola commercial.

Popping in for  quickie hello to all in the midst of my RAGTIME tech.

Congrats to BK and the cast of Kritzerland 50! Looks like it was a swell party for all. Sorry I had to miss it.

All the best to everyone here.

We preview RAGTIME this Friday night and open Saturday. A huge show with a huge cast and no time. Can you say "swamped"? We'll make it work, as we always do.

Ta-ta for now!  :D

I'm back to reality after my theatre-packed stay in New York.   Paul and I saw 6 shows and I loved 4: Cabaret, Beautiful, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder and On the Town.   I liked It's Only a Play.  Hedwig not so much ( but I did like a couple of songs).  It's Only a Play had several big laughs but I sure didn't think it was as hilarious as many members of the audience.

A highlight was our visit with DR elmore, who regaled us with tales of his experiences with theatre-folk.  He also graciously gave me a copy of Roberta, which I've started to listen to and love.  Kim Criswell's accent is hilarious and Jason Graae sounds great as always.

Hey, did anyone know about this?  THIS link is to a staged concert staging of "Les Parapluies de Cherbourg" (sung in French with no subtitles) at Théâtre du Châtelet.  And Michel Legrand himself is conducting it.  It looks like it'll be available until March 13, 2015. :D

I've decided to get a ticket for The Bandwagon at City Center.  There are discount tickets at broadwaybox.com but they're only good for certain seats, including the first 3 rows, which are called "orchestra pit" seats.  Does anyone have experience with them and know if the views are good?

Can't answer your question, DR KevinH, but wanted to tell you that Richard and I have tickets for Friday, November 14.

Have had a mostly lovely day - one piece of annoyance, but I'm just not letting it annoy me, frankly.  I am done with these kinds of things annoying me.  Have had a healthy day of orders for Rio Conchos - again, I wish we could sell more on the site itself, but the dealers have ordered really large quantities - but I don't see that dough for four weeks after we ship, which won't be for another two weeks.
