Page Two IHS building interior dance.

I think this is where the ceremony will be held.  With the tables moved of course and special seating in place.

DR Jrand64, I don't know if you shop at Costco, but ALL THAT JAZZ is one of the Criterions they currently stock, and they're always priced at $19.99.

DR SingSing, I just riffled through the MASS score and I will give it a new listen one of these days.  I no longer have the original LPs, but I'd just as soon hear someone else's take on it anyway.  I've always felt that for all of his genius, Bernstein was rarely the best conductor of his own music, and for my taste, some of those recordings grew wearying over time.

(Edit:  I keep typing wrong words!  All day I've been doing this.)

It's kind of fun to watch the Criterion countdown.  I got on there as soon as I got the email yesterday, and was able to grab all the recent releases I wanted.  Those always go first, then you watch as certain titles compete with each other for "top seller", and finally, as "sold outs", and it moves slowly from recent releases to quite old ones as people grab what they can.

THE INNOCENTS and Polanski's MACBETH sold out very quickly yesterday, with ALL THAT JAZZ not far behind.

We don't plan it that way, or any way at all, but it seems to work out to a twice yearly thing.

KAGEMUSHA is a top seller, too.  I haven't seen it and it sounds great, but I blew the wad yesterday so I'll put that one on my list for the November B&N sale.

It just moved from "top seller" to "running low".  Good for them.  Looks like ROSEMARY'S BABY might be heading down that path, too.

I thought this was a fun read: the NY Times's take on last night's opening of a Terrence McNally revival with a starry cast:

Kate, The Departed is very violent and not one of my favorite Scorcese movies, but it was the only one of his to bring him an Oscar and grab Best Picture.

Today is the wedding rehearsal and dinner.....so that should be fun.  I have never been to the Indiana Historical Society building where the rehearsal and wedding will be, so it will be fun to see their new facility.  It is downtown on the canal just a few blocks from Lucas Oil Stadium.

The dinner is at the recording studio owned by the groom.....I think he had lunch with MR BK a many years ago when he was in L.A.

I imagine you are in for a treat.  It is very pretty.

I want to thank all those who convinced me, by your recommendations, to watch "Bernie".  We did so last night and it was good.

I'm up, I'm up.  This time I slept four hours before I awoke, needing a short trip to the loo (ool, spelled backwards), then it took an hour to fall asleep again, then the phone rang at 9:20 (spam), then I slept until it rang again a few minutes ago - I think if you add all that up maybe I got seven or eight hours but I would dearly love to sleep eight hours without the distractions.
