It is a mighty fine autumnal day here in the midwest.

Cool, with clear blue skies and sunlight spotlighting the golden leaves.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Today was a non-Lima day for Fr. Richard, so we went to church with Rob and Mary Linda and out for lunch at Panera.  We're all home now - the kids are studying (Rob-organic chemistry, ML-GMAT prep) and Richard and I are watching the Bengals.

Mr BK here is the Neu-View Theater and the House of Magic in the summer of 1969, you may have mentioned both in your notes and books.....and Larry Edmunds Bookshop in between!   :D

This picture is from Chris Riordan who was in the movie "The Gay Deceivers" which was playing at the Neu......for three months.....with lines around the block.

It's actually the New View - that's a W.  I didn't go there often - it was a flea pit - but in Kritzerland I do believe I specifically mention seeing one of my many viewings of North By Northwest there on a very rainy day.  It's one of my favorite passages in the book.  Chris Riordan recently came to a Kritzerland show - he said I'd remember him immediately.  I didn't.  My cousin finally reminded me that he dated briefly (very briefly) my ex-wife after our deevorce.

DR Elmore, is your cold better today?

Lingering in my throat; at some point it will move up to my sinuses and then go away.

It is such a nice sunny day today. I read outside. I really wanted to go for a bike ride. But my energy is only 50%.

I see like 10 visiting cars outside. Would it be rude to try to follow where they are. I'll bet they are having a yummy turkey dinner!

I'm watching PBS's rebroadcast of "The Nance."

We have made it partway through Act II so far of The Nance, and are enjoying it quite a lot.

I'm a little more than an hour into Act I, and I'm enjoying it, also!

I just had a loverly phone call from Rob Berman. He says that Bright Star is going very well at the Old Globe, and he's got a lovely beach house in San Diego.

I want to visit.

Back from a chili, cheese and onion omelet in which they forgot the onion, which is probably fine with me on this day.  Still deciding whether I want to drive to the DGA for Gone Girl.

Thanks, DR Jrand64.  I'm quite sure I ordered movie memorabilia from Larry Edmunds Book Shop about 40 years ago!  Interesting to see where it was located.

I am up after a short nap. This morning, I went from church to three intensive hours of dance lessons. I sweat so much I may have ruined the shirt. But it was fun.

I work from home tomorrow with time off for a funeral in the morning. It's for an old friend from church. He had dementia and recently suffered a bad fall in which he broke his neck, which he somehow lived with for several weeks.
