Congratulation Aunt Ginny an food. Uncle Richard!  Having a grand niece or grandnephew is the next best thing to being a grandparent

Thanks, DR Vixmom!  Yes, we already have 2 great nephews and a great niece (Lauren's sister's kids)' but this one will live right here in town.  The others live near Lima.

Yes Ginny fortunately  vixdad is a very handy guy.  He installed the dishwasher , fixed the washer a few times, rewired the basement, fixed the plumbing, fixed the dryer...

And ,most importantly he is able to capture and remove sipers

I had the flu once. The kids were in preschool, and it was a strain that was hitting young people very hard. All four of us got it. It was horrible. I have had a flu shot every year since. Never want to have the flu again!

Last year they gave me the live-virus sniffy immunization by mistake. So I had that one PLUS a shot.

And you have never had the flu since?

I am thinking about getting some chicken soup to bring home - just a preventative but a tasty one at least.

This morning it had church. I was so happy one of the women's circles volunteered for coffeehour as the Vixter and I were both communion assistants and. I was also lay reader and had to give a mission moment at both services.  I didn't realixpze I had to give the mission moment speech until moments before the service began(I thought it was. Next week). So that was kind of interesting

I wish you could get people to volunteer every week to do the coffee hour.  I don't know how you manage to do all of it every Sunday.

Yes Ginny fortunately  vixdad is a very handy guy.  He installed the dishwasher , fixed the washer a few times, rewired the basement, fixed the plumbing, fixed the dryer...

And ,most importantly he is able to capture and remove sipers

You are very lucky.  I am not handy around the house at all.  I can't even fix my nose when it is dripping.

Wow, DR Vixmom, I'm impressed that Vixdad fixed your dryer!

Speaking of appliances, the guy who installed our dishwasher yesterday said that life expectancy for them nowadays is only 7-10 years.  He said our old dishwasher was supposed to last 10-15, so we did well using it for 16+.
I have no idea how old my dishwasher is.  It was in the house when I bought it and looked old then.  That was 8 years ago

I need to replace my dishwasher. But the kids bought it for me several years ago with their first paychecks.

My boys talked me into a Mac computer that did that. It did that the day we got it out of the box until we retired it a couple years later.
