SPOILER for "CASTLE":
If you watch the show but have not seen Monday night's episode, READ NO FURTHER because I am about to give away some plot points. It was a very strange, odd and "okay" episode that wanted to be Capra-esqu a la "It's A Wonderful Life" given that Castle found himself whisked into a universe in which he and Becket had never met. This was part of the story's gist earlier when they both asked the other what they think they would be doing "now" if they had never met. Castle was still an author but not a very successful one as he had gambled away most of his money. His mother was, unbelievably, a major star of the stage and about to embark upon a revival of "Mame". His daughter was goth and visiting from California. Becket was a precinct captain. There are convolutions, but ultimately you see that Becket IS attracted to Castle as he is to her. There is an Incan object d'art that may or may not have been the responsible item for Castle's (mis)adventure or he may have simply dreamed it after being conked on the head in an explosion in the show's early going. The ultimate "what it led to" is that he and Becket finally marry...in a surreal setting (apparently on top of a building with a skyscape of great beauty, but no buildings). So, the deed is finally done after last season's ridiculous cliffhanger and this season's lousy opening episodes. May this finally lead to a return of the show in a different mode. I'm thinking Nick and Nora Charles...or even Hart to Hart...would be good role models for Kate and Rick!
END SPOILAGE.
