I recently bought a new tv for the bedroom and been exploring a lot with online apps watching movies and tv shows. I then bought an inexpensive blu-ray player and the images that come forth from them are remarkable.

Then I put on a some episodes of Babylon 5 and was shocked at how bad the quality of the transfer was. What looked on an older tv set and player looked terrible. It was grainy, out of focused, colors were terrible I couldn't believe the poor quality I was watching especially that this was the first tv series to use CGI for its special visual effects,

Friday morning greetings!  We were both quite tired last night and slept better than we usually do the first night in a new place.  I'm enjoying my coffee while Richard snoozes.

Happy Birthday to Richard!  Sounds like a great dinner!

Artie's is always great and we brought about half of each meal and each dessert home with us.  Richard finished his rice pudding with last night's meds, but we still each have sandwiches and I have some carrot cake.

Good morning, all!

I went to bed around 8:30 last night and slept until 7:00 this morning. I am now heading down to Toyland.  Yesterday was a busy day, and I hope I did not give DR Ginny and Richard any of the gunk that's been knocking me over for the past week.

I'm happy to hear that most of the NYC-bound travelers have arrived.

Greetings from Easton!

Thank you, DR Elmore.  I'm waiting for them to look at the car as we speak, and should be hearing the verdict soon.

My computer and Time Warner are heading for a collision. I ythink it's this new modem that's defective, but about every 30 minutes i lose my internet connection and I have to unplug the modem and reboot. I've bitched to Time warner, had two servicemen here who claim the cable is good, but neither has proposed replacing this new modem.  If I were a drinker, i'd be dead from cirrhosis.

Health vibes, BK!  I, too, have a stuffy head and a sinus headache.  The air is very dry - try some saline nasal spray.

DR JENNIFER - IMDB has a parent's advisory page for most movies.  Here is the one for MALEFICENT.

Richard walked over to the Paris Baguette cafe around the corner from our apartment and brought back an almond croissant for me, plain for him, a baguette, and a yogurt & fruit parfait to share.  I made coffee and tea while he was out, poured the orange juice, and set the table.  We've had a delightful breakfast!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a verdict:

It was the alternator that decided to lay down and die after 165,000 miles.  A replacement is on its way to the shop and I'll be out of here in a couple of hours.

Greetings from Toyland!

Construction is going on just outside my window and the noise and silt in the office is unbearable.  I'll finish my errands and head home.

Enjoyed the notes on "Beautiful." I wonder what the show will be like after Mueller leaves the cast. She really is remarkable.

Good morning, everyone. It is a stay-home day, since I put on many hiking miles Wednesday and Thursday.

I am doing a bit of cooking today.
