Speaking of show sthat aren;t the same as Broadway, they're doing a scaled-down CAMELOT at regional theaters now.  It's lovingly being called Cam-e-Little.

Better than what we called it when I did the show way, way back in 1975. We lovingly called it Camelsnot.

TOD - close seconds:

Touring UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN, starring Harve Presnell and Karen Morrow, in Detroit; OKLAHOMA revival, which I saw with DR Elmore in New York in 1980; SOUTH PACIFIC revival at Lincoln Center.

DR Vixmom just called.  She's on the train and will check back with me when she gets settled into her hotel.  She's good with the Utopia plan.

I think the train is how I'll come in tomorrow.  Take it easy.  Leave the driving to them.

TOD:

LE MIZ
RAGTIME

Although I enjoyed LE MIZ, I  am not sure I could sit thru the show again.  I would much rather put on the CD, sit back in the recliner,  and daydream my way thru the score.  Still, I really enjoyed the 10th Anniversary Concert; the 25th and 50th, not so much.

Continued vibes for Richard.

Thanks, DR Jane.  He even went up and down (which is worse) the steep and very narrow stairway at the yarn shop in DR Elmore's neighborhood.  He drew the line, though, at swing dancing.

I try to avoid steep downs, hills or stairs.

Steep downs are even worse than Upson Downs.

I am going to go to the Healthcare.gov site to see what I can get for 2015.  I got a letter that told me my premium would go up about $48 per month, which makes it higher than my subsidy, so I'm going to get another policy that will be under my subsidy total.

I can only get the coverage until the end of August when I become Jrand65 and become eligible for Medicare, but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

My AARP Medicare supplement is going to increase by $55.00 a month starting in January.  Thisi s in addition to the  money they automatically take out of my SS check each month.  I was told that the $55.00 will have to paid out of pocket.  I don't really understand any of it, but all of the sources I have checked assure me that this is about hte same for everyone.  Still, it is a lot cheaper than the $700.00+ I was paying for the two years of COBRA coverage.

Last night, I ushered a production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Excellent. Great performance from the guy playing George. The Martha was distractingly wigged to look like Liz Taylor, but not in the move of Virginia Woolf.

Only about 100 people showed up, including about 30 students, but they were quiet and attentive throughout the long three hours of the show.

But if the cast is perfect, those three hours can really fly by.

Pamela Reed just did Martha at the Seattle Rep.  She is now doing VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE at Seattle's ACT Theatre.  She has gotten raves for both shows.

Can't sleep. Would you believe they were drilling the street (47th) till a few minutes ago ?  I woke up at about 1:45 am and called the front desk. The guy said it took them by surprise but he could see why the city approved it since Saturday is a matinee day !  He said they had put a call in to the non -emergency number, 311.  I don't know if that's why it stopped but I hope I can go back to sleep.

Just put on a Streisand album (or BB) and you will be fine.

I'm not sure how  to take that, TCB!

I hope you take it with a smile, Kevin.  That is the way I meant it.

They had done a scaled-down 10-actor My fair Lady, so i guess a scaled-down Camelot was inevitable.

I'm waiting for the scaled down THE FANTASTICKS.

Lucky we are having a busy morning on HHW.  I have a feeling that the next two evenings are going to be very quiet.

Took a nice mile-long walk, got some fruit and pretzels and came back to the room.  Trying to relax and conserve my voice.

I must say, after yesterday's fruit and today's the fruit in NY is AWFUL.  I only ate two bites yesterday and I don't even think I made it to two today.  Pretzels are good, though.

Over-react much?

The fruit in New York is NOT awful. You got some bad fruit. Deal with it. I get very good fruit all the time and I've lived here for 35 years!
